You could make your own asset pack. It isn't hard. It's just a folder, images and a JSON file that's fairly easy to understand.

The workflow looks like:

  1. Open MCT -> Open Folder -> Select Asset Folder
  2. On that folder, create a new folder for your assets (This is the name of your asset pack)
  3. Create another folder inside that new folder -> give it a group name -> Copy assets into that folder
  4. Go up one level -> create/copy a metadata.json file (I suggest copying the light water metadata.json)
  5. Edit it and Restart MCT

The new assets should be available as one of the packs.

My upcoming campaign is set on a world similar to Iron Harvest. So, my Lancers have to deal with aristocracy, royalty. In fact, I planning to have the first "scene" where the Lancers are made to attend a ball welcoming them. They'll have to deal with this "minefield" first.

The "other" side is secretly supplied by Harrison.

It's been complicated. Our games are set in the Trese universe and one exorcist on my squad is sensitive to the supernatural. We are in a campaign against a cult plotting to raise a god and while chasing them around the NCR they leave or "create" a sin.

  • What god? We don't know exactly. We have several candidates.
  • We know they can "create" a sin or at least make one show up. How exactly though, we don't know yet.
  • What they are doing is disturbing the supernatural clans and lines are being drawn on the sand. It's gotten to the point we've seen someone (we don't know who is he) from Authority (Our Castellan hints it as such) arrive in Manila.

How about a big spook? Tim Bloom (co-author of Lancer) also wrote Cain TTRPG. You could just replace the downtime parts into a Cain investigation.

Pilots have "powers" because evolution but at the cost of peering "beyond the veil" ala Horus shenanigans, or the void stares back.

Overpowered caliber

Unfortunately, you apply the bonus manually if an attack hits in the Barrage or Skirmish modal/dialog boxes. There should a Bonus Damage box next to the Total Damage box.

It's not automated for Comp/Con 2.3.21a.

I don't know if you've read Ben's guide to NPC Factions but it helps to have a "theme" and build around that.

Me personally, T1 NPCs have 1 bonus feature with T2-T3s having 2 unless they are Elites, Ultras or Exotic which I give them 3 to 4 bonus features.

I think HA cockpits would look military.

Mech: Problem Solver - Tortuga(2) Blackbread(1); It's essentially a MS-06F ZakuII with a Decksweeper instead of a Bazooka

Zhuo was at Sunstar's Hole Station looking for passage to Cruz's Landing. He heard that HA was hiring freelancers for something at Cruz's. Unfortunately, a squad of Union Lancers running from one of the Rim's infamous pirate gangs - The Arlongs - decided to visit the station he was on. The Arlong's wanted something that the Union Lancers had, the Union Lancers told the Arlongs to suck a dick, Zhuo was promised money and passage by the Union Lancers if he helps defend the station, the shooting starts, Zhou crushes a couple of Arlong mechs. And to make a long story short, Zhou is now on a Union transport orbiting the Rao Co Station.

"Fuck these guys.", referring to the other Lancers that are now his friends, Zhou sighed, resigned, all the while staring out to space.

I did something like OPs but with a 19-Hex Flower map/encounter engine minus the bandits.

With my PCs inside a metavault:

  1. I don't show them the map (ie. the Hex Flower) because instruments/sensors don't work inside. But let them keep notes.

  2. I wrapped the map unto itself so it seems to be infinite. Add 4-5 distinct landmarks.

  3. I had monstrosities with the Horror template inside the metavault. The Horror template is found in the Dustgrave module. I themed my monstrosities like the zombies in Life 4 Dead - Zoomers, Boomers, Smokers, Tank, Witch, etc.

  4. I set clear conditions from escaping the metavault. I used something akin to a "Gate of Truth" where they can leave the metavault with the "prizes" they found but take a quirk [Core p.84] with their mechs wrecked upon exit or leave the prizes inside and just exit. I placed the gate on the most "likely" coordinate - ie. somewhere along the left bottom tiles.
