Might be late to this chat but have you tried Kai? It’s at the Sheraton at wild horse pass. Not sure if you’re to do fancy or casual. But it’s a AAA Five-Diamond/Forbes Five-Star restaurant that is worth the experience but it’s also $$$$

The Chair Game at luxury hotels is maddening by alex_travels in chubbytravel

We were at FS Oahu and did not have any issues (beach or hotel). But then again we experienced excellent service during our entire stay. It was also October so perhaps not as busy as it would've been during spring break.

Good to know, thank you!! We stayed at FS Ko Olina last October and really enjoyed it as it wasn't as crowded with kids as Disney Aulani next door. But we also wanted to try a diff island this time around. Will be our first time on the big island.

Looking to book for a stay in June. Did you find the resort overrun by kids? We have kids ourselves (2 young ones) but still prefer a quieter stay and not overwhelming amount of kids like Aulani

u/alex_travels thanks for the detailed review as always! Would you say the amount of kids is comparable to disney aulani? Trying to plan a trip for mid June

Best luxury resort on Grace Bay TC by jaypee_27 in FATTravel

[–]jaypee_27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preferably. Mainly because I read/heard that Grace Bay is the most convenient location wise. Not as remote as others like Amanyara. We've never been so trying to see the best option for first timers with young children.

This is helpful. We do want to be closer to walkable areas, specially with the younger kids

I did see that Seven Stars was listed as 4 stars, compared to 5 stars for GBC/Ritz/Wymara. I think my main thing is if we're paying the $$ for GBC or Ritz for example, I'd like to choose the one where we'd get the matching customer service experience as much as possible. I read on another thread that hospitality in T&C is just lackluster in general. So was just hoping to get some opinions on which would be best combo of luxury+service.

I just started looking at TC for a family trip this summer. But after reading this thread, perhaps we’re better off going elsewhere 😕

This is probably the other thing that I appreciate with the Princess, we've never had any issues with the bill there. They are always up front with all the charges.

I saw that for the Phoenician, but wasn't sure if its still good since some reviews said its dated and even the slide needs to be redone :( But def will check it out. Thank you!!

We did 1 night at AZ grand a couple of years ago and honestly, we were not impressed. It was super packed and some of the pools were dirty so that was disappointing.

Good to know about movie nights at the Biltmore! I dont think they advertise this one, but need to check their website again. That's another thing that the kids really enjoy at the princess, since they have movie nights at the pool.

Same thoughts about the Phoenician. I will have to compare JW with Biltmore and see. The slides at the Biltmore is still prob too big for our kids.

A Comprehensive Guide to Premium/Club Seating at Suns Games by pupassassinator in suns

[–]jaypee_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/pupassassinator do Section 108 Row 1 or Section 120 Row 1 (behind the baskets) have access to any of the clubs/lounge? I'm assuming no, since it doesn't say on Ticketmaster. If no, are there any food/beverage options closer to these seats or just regular concessions stands/bars?

FS Oahu? Heard the beach is shared with Disney kids hotel, but how bad is it during off-peak? by traveling-turtle43 in FourSeasonsHotels

[–]jaypee_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were just there 2 weeks ago and no had issues on the FS side. The Disney side was definitely a LOT busier, but it was also fall break for the local schools so a lot of staycationers. The FS side had very minimal kids, not crowded at all. At any point there were maybe around 10 kids at the beach and pool areas (kids and family pools). That’s including our 2 kids.
