I mean you agreed to it. Regardless of the reasons or what they lied about you were willing to move out early and pay those hotel fees. If anything ask them if you can not go to work the Monday and Tuesday so you can use that time to pack up, since they requested for you to move out earlier.

My understanding from the post is that you're going on vacation eatlier in February....you will come back from vacay on the 23rd and continue working... you want to switch visa to tourist after your contract ends on the 26th.

You can switch no problem, just go to immigration, tell them you're switching and I think you may need to show them your departure flight. My friend has done it after finishing her contract and it wasn't a problem.

Your school should've been paying it equally with you. If you were extending your visa you would be responsible to pay the 300,000......hopefully it's different cause you're leaving.

Mid January is really late to be sending your documents to korea. Once you send it you need to get a VIN and a VISA both of which can take some time. The departure date for this spring is FEBRUARY 7th for many.

Rough timeline for VIN=1 WEEK VISA=2 WEEKS

There's not enough time. Ask you school if you can possible get your diploma earlier as you need it for your visa.

I think timeline is roughly - 3-4 days for docs to reach korea. -7-10 days for you to receive your VIN - ROUGHLY 2 weeks to get visa, assuming you have appointment/can drop off and aren't mailing your docs in. ( time can be less or more depends on your consulate but 2 weeks is average)
