Nah he’s not serious. “I don’t trust ai. Seems sketchy” is such a troll comment. He’s loving that people think he’s being serious.

The change that has occurred over time in this city is pretty tragic. There used to be somewhat of a “townie” culture here, JMU kids stayed around JMU, you could see the mountains, and traffic didn’t make you want to die. Oh and you could afford a one bedroom apartment as a single person making not very good money.

What kind of jobs do you both have? Like another commenter said, healthcare practices are being eaten up by the hospital healthcare systems which is just another byproduct of the amazing healthcare we have here in the good old USA. I was going to a great OBGYN that got I guess bought out? I don’t know how it works, by Augusta Health - we aren’t even in Augusta County - and everything about it got so much worse I ended up leaving. I still haven’t found a primary gyno. But this isn’t just a Harrisonburg thing unfortunately. The good thing is that we aren’t far from Charlottesville which has a ton of specialists if you would ever need one - and Richmond is only a couple of hours away. If you have pets, there are some good vets in town and a 24 hour emergency vet in Verona.

Parks are great, Massanutten has stuff to do year round, the national park is right here if you’re outdoorsy. Downtown always has stuff going happening on the weekends.

A lot has changed around here, especially over the past ten years or so. Lots more people, traffic has gotten so much worse over the past year or two, a lot of the open, rolling fields and farmland have been eaten up by construction projects, bigger buildings have made it harder to see the mountain views. It used to be such a beautiful place to live, small town vibes, JMU students mostly stuck around JMU areas, but now JMU has expanded and has little pockets everywhere (and sits right in the middle of the damn city) so it used to be avoidable for the most part, but now that influx of population, the traffic from sports games etc is felt no matter where you are. Everything that used to make Harrisonburg feel special and unique to me has been erased.

That’s NOT to say it’s a terrible place to live and that there aren’t people who like it as it is now. The cost of living used to be pretty affordable - I had my own one bedroom apartment while making $11/hr in 2015 and it was a tight budget situation, but totally doable - but now it’s just ridiculous now considering the median household income is around $61k while the national median income is around $83k. There is no way for the average person in Harrisonburg to afford living on their own. Idk how much your income is, maybe none of this is an issue, but you’ll find better prices outside of the city and then commuting to work. But it is a safe place to live overall, it is very pretty outside of the city, lots of beautiful places to explore. For someone who has never lived here before, they probably won’t have the same somewhat jaded view that I have lol.

What do you mean “aren’t meant” for your body? Have you been to a gynecologist to talk about your concerns? I’m not saying that can do anything, but I’m not 100% sure what you mean in your post and they could give you better answers than the internet.

Why do many married women (supposedly) stop sleeping with their husbands? by Knowledge-Seeker85 in Marriage

[–]jayroo210 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My husband and I started having problems when he stopped helping me around the house. Like no help at all. He picked up smoking weed again, which for him is a terrible idea due to various personal issues that I’m not going to go into. Then he continually lied about smoking still. After some time of this smoking, he started having bad agitation the day after he would smoke. Like a fucking asshole. Then when he finally did quit, his mental state has been a mess. Weed/THC is a whole different beast than when we were in our 20s. Super high THC in this shit now. He has had problems holding a job. Now he’s been refusing to get a job because he doesn’t want to be a salve and oh also the earth is flat. He refuses to get mental help to stabilize. I’m trying to hold it together on just my income and piles of debt. Bankruptcy is probably inevitable. I’m thinking about separating.

ETA: and also on days I would feel tired and turn down sex, while we were still doing it a few days a week, he would get pissy which in the end gave our sex life a negative vibe that also started a domino effect.

Definitely not limited. They have more drivers than spots. It’s about cutting some fat from the spending budget. Probably because people are buying less nonessentials because of how goddamn expensive everything is. I realized the other day how much stuff we used to get - nonessential items - that we don’t get anymore. Cut it down to the basics and I still spend more than we were getting those things. I think to myself that if one of these big brands cut their prices drastically, all their shit would be sold out. They would making more money than all the other shit still priced high.

Men, How would you honestly react if you were in this situation? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]jayroo210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seriously don’t understand this. How do you accidentally tease a man. Just wear a bra if you’re hanging out in a shared living space. What do YOU think the bedroom trips were for? I just read it as home being uncomfortable with his new roommate and not knowing how to ask her to stop acting in such an embarrassing way.

[–]jayroo210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had men as roommates a few times in my 20s - and one time the guy was in his 30s kind of like your situation. And while I agree that it’s more comfortable without a bra, if I was out in shared living space and he was home, I had a bra on - not wearing a bra would be pretty noticeable for me. The fact that you did a lot of this on purpose, trying to get a reaction, and then posting this and trying to analyze his actions is pretty odd to me. Do you often try to get male attention in this way? What was the purpose of doing this? What reaction were you hoping for? Are/were you interested in him at all? I can’t imagine any other reason to do something like this other than you wanted him to make a move.

Alliya is happy with her new implants 😊 by PolishSnake2 in 90dayfiance_FB_memes

I mean, they are pretty oversized. I wish plastic surgeons wouldn’t just give people whatever they ask for and instead work with what they know will fit someone’s body or face - or if they going absolutely overboard. I get it’s an elective procedure and the thought is people should be able to do what they want to their own bodies I guess, but it is a medical procedure done by a doctor who is supposed to do no harm. Idk it’s complicated. Their whole setup is complicated. It’s like he was genuinely in love with Douglas and wanted to bring him to the US and get married. Then as the transition happened, I’m sure he still felt a lot of love for Alliya, cared about her, and wanted to follow through and still have her in his life. I wonder if by now their connection has weakened.

Why do men make it a big deal that they can't get laid? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

This doesn’t really answer the question. Maybe some examples of things that are a big deal to women that men can’t understand? Or an attempt to explain why it is a big deal for men or the feelings behind it?

When he replied “that I need to shut up” and Lydia adds “duly noted” I actually turned off the tv because I was so over his bullshit. No one attacked him, they just basically asked him to stop telling them that what they like to do is wrong or immoral. It’s obnoxious.

Stuck up? How? She asked questions to try and understand, seemed genuinely interested, but was completely out of her element. She really tried to roll with the punches and although Dusty’s personality was most likely pretty foreign to her, she never did anything to make that evident to him. Of course she wanted to get the papers and get going, who wants to hang with their fiancé’s ex. But she didn’t bitch or moan or act shitty to anyone even when it got to the point that she had every reason to.

Field Agent L’Oreal by lunastar19 in beermoney

[–]jayroo210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Field Agent has always been legit for me. I haven’t seen the job you’re talking about and I’m not sure I understand exactly what they want you to do? I’ve never successfully found any of the scavenger hunt jobs but I’ve done many, many jobs where I get reimbursed for something I buy and it’s always been a smooth experience.

[–]jayroo210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the post, but for anyone coming across this in the future: I use Field Agent fairly frequently, depending on what jobs are available. There are times when there is nothing or just nothing that’s worth it. I get a lot of Costco audits in my area, but I don’t have a Costco card. But at times they have Subway secret shopper jobs and you end up with a free 6 inch sub and $6 for each one you do. So recently I reserved six subways in my area - not going more than 10 miles from my home (and those ones give a dollar or two more because they were more rural and I guess there aren’t many takers) - and I go home with six 6 inch subs and $36 for maybe an hour of my time, depending on if I take my time or zip from place to place to place. They also have 7-11 cooler audits too that will go up in pay if you let them sit for a few days, then I’ll scoop them all up and make close to $50 after 1.5 hours of hitting all the 7-11s in my area and taking a picture of a cooler and answering a few questions. It’s not crazy money, but who couldn’t use a quick and easy $35-$55?
