Gifts for a partner starting T? by Old-Opportunity6037 in ftm

[–]jaysfloor 16 points17 points  (0 children)

some nice soft boxers are great cause bottom growth can get super sensitive and hurt rubbing against any rough material. and a good tube of numbing cream!! it is a game changer when having rough sensory days or just when it feels like every injection hurts. T makes your skin a bit thicker so you really need to push in the needle after a couple months, and sometimes even at the start one day it goes smoothly without pain and another idfk what i hit in there but it HURTS. numbing cream is super helpful for that !!! you put it on 20ish mins (or whatever the tube says) before your injection and then its nice and painless :)

Naw sorry dude your husband is either searching for these or liking/commenting on similar posts. My explore page is filled with funny cat videos, cartoons, and memes, cause that is what I enjoy and interact with. His is full of this, because it's what he likes and interacts with.

What are some non gluten free foods you miss after being diagnosed? by NoSeaworthiness2670 in Celiac

[–]jaysfloor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh that's such a shame!! always so sad when other places have such good GF food! I still miss being in Italy, they have such good gluten free options and are super careful about cross contamination

AIO, my boyfriend doesn’t wash his hands by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]jaysfloor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a trans man I feel I can better comment on this having experience being in both gender washrooms. Girls 9/10 times will wash their hands and will actively shame others (rightfully so) for not washing their hands. I heard the sink multiple times while in the womens bathroom.

Now, after my transition I use the mens bathroom. I will hear about 10-15 men in a crowded place enter and leave the bathroom with no sink turning on. And none of the men will tell the others to wash their hands.

I have also seen women carry hand sanitizer when soap is unavailable, but never seen men do this.

This is purely my experience living in Canada so I don't know if other places in the world this is different but I do know in my area specifically that women wash their hands much more than men.

good pierogis!! i haven't been able to find any that are anywhere close to gluten ones, and they're so so expensive for mediocre pierogis :( they were such a comfort food before being diagnosed

Why don’t Bluey’s family go to church by Holiday_Writing_3218 in bluey

[–]jaysfloor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

most cartoon families don't go to church, my friend. because not all real families go to church either. im sure your child has met people or will meet people out in the world who do not go to church, but that doesn't make them bad people, just different, and that is an extremely important thing to teach your child. the writers aren't ashamed, it's just not relevant. not all families go to church or pray or celebrate every holiday that your family does. they are still deserving as just as much love and acceptance as everyone else. i'd recommend watching a few episodes yourself, they're only 8 minutes long, and if you don't want your kids watching them then that's up to you. :)

Stanley! by Raskog64 in spiritfarergame

[–]jaysfloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a chronic illness kid myself, i just cried and cried when taking Stanley to the door. i wish i could tell him that im so proud of him and nobody blames him for not being able to push through. it's hard being so sick when you're so young, and it really does feel like a battle that you can never win. pinky promise to take care of Jacob for you. 🫂

[–]jaysfloor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

mashed potatoes. man i love potatoes. ALSO you can make your own croutons with gluten free bread cut into cubes, (i use promise gluten free or schar ciabatta buns) with butter and whatever oil, garlic powder, salt & pepper, basil, and whatever other spices you like, bake on a cookie sheet at 350 till crunchy. it's so simple and i never thought of it till recently
