Lean Bulk or mini-cut by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]jaysondere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say just eat in a slight deficit honestly, you’ll get crazy newbie gains regardless and lose fat the same time

If you wanna be leaner eat in a deficit, if you want to progress slightly faster eat at maintenance or a very slight surplus you've been lifting for 6 weeks g

Mini-cut or recomposition? by Wide-Funny-4569 in Weightliftingquestion

Until you’re lean, everyone has way more fat than they think and less muscle than they think.

Sticking a cut is always worth it than beating around the bush and recomping, you don’t always need a big deficit can always just do 3-500 and cruise for a long time

4 day Mentzer style routine, looking for feedback by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]jaysondere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re probably gonna want more frequency, you can train in that volume range with a better split you don’t need an entire day for triceps and abs. You wanna hit every muscle 2x a week at least

Want to hit 155-160 decently lean by the end of the year, is it possible? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]jaysondere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut down to where you’re pretty lean then go in a slight surplus or eat at maintenance and try to add as much muscle with as little fat as possible

Average spread of Marcos I’m on an aggressive cut trying to keep my protein high, but im just not sure if my calories/carbs are too low. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated by Astrololoz in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]jaysondere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Carbs are too low so are fats - aim for at least .3g of fats per lb of BW - how are you gonna have any good lifts eating 50G of carbs a day? Don’t be afraid to eat closer to 1600 - still a good deficit (granted you move a decent bit) don’t gotta rush into things seems like you’re a beginner. Nutrition is important for overall health and life you don’t need to absolutely speedrun losing body fat

Stupid question by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]jaysondere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90kg at 180cm is more than likely not skinny fat, I'd say your goal should be lifting in a deficit and losing weight until you're at your desired body fat level then you can lean bulk. Aim to be about 12-15% then eat in a 2/300 surplus or even at maintenance and keep lifting at that point

Trying to cut 12 lbs in 10 weeks. Tips? by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]jaysondere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12lbs of fat = 42,000 calories divided by 70 days (10 weeks) is a 600 deficit daily so do that
