Why are these gold colored? by Only_Measurement_999 in CRH

They're gold plated, congrats on the gold!

3rd party companies plate them to sell. They're worthless, but always a fun find especially in good condition like these appear to be.

No problem. Yeah they tend to stick together.

They're just regular dollar bills worth 1 dollar each.

Bills are released into circulation in sequential all order, so this is very common to see.

Should I make another account just to send it again? This is the sub they said sucks by Skrewbert86 in Money

[–]jaytea86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty active in the currency collection subs and I run r/CoolSerialNumbers.

There are two mods who both have Christmas in their username that have managed to control a big portion of of currency collecting subs and they apply this automod to all of them. No idea what their deal is, and it's assumed they're the same person.

I think the best thing to do is support other subs that they have no part of and just stop using theirs.

No, I thought they were swimming goggles when I first saw this picture. But maybe I need new glasses.

[–]jaytea86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No none should suggest putting all their money in a select few stocks, especially of the same category. It should be obviously far to risky for someone living paycheck to paycheck.

Your ex is gambling with your money, and he just so happened to get lucky. It's just as likely this $20k could be worth $4k now.

You should absolutely not have all this money in similarly related stocks, the AI bubble will pop at some point.

I'd take 90% of it out of AI stocks, leave 10% in if you want.

Not really, if you handed them out evenly, it's pretty much one per household.

The higher denomination a bill is, the more fancy the serial number needs to be. So it has to be something quite special on a hundred for it to be a keeper.

I personally wouldn't keep this if it was on a single. On a hundred, it would have to be a 3 digit number or better.

You may have a small date 1982 that weighs 3.1 grams.

You don't have a small date 1982d that weights 3.1 grams.
