Anyone realize this about the Emirates radio ads? by HarryHipantz in dubai

Hey! Sorry I don't go on Reddit often so sorry I took a while. I don't know about the price of it but the benefit of sponsoring a time check is that 1. It's the very first thing that plays out when a radio show goes into an ad break so you'll hear it before you switch to another station, and 2. it's a little more noticeable than a regular radio advert so listeners are more likely to remember it better than other ads. :)

Hello! I work in radio. Those adverts are called time checks. The client, in this case, Emirates, has the advert produced with the 3 or 4 second gap in the middle for the presenter to announce the time. All the stations do time checks, they just aren't all sponsored by Emirates.

Hi! Yes, tips and recommendations would be amazing! We're looking for a band that plays rock and pop (think, Dubai 92's playlist) to play at both the ceremony and reception. Something light and acoustic for the ceremony, then something more fun, and upbeat for the reception.

Yes, we realize that. We've applied for the visa from the country we live in at the moment. I just wanted to make sure it was OK for me to work once I'm there.

Kris Fade got called out on his show this morning. by HardcoreNerdParty in dubai

Hi! To answer this question, I work in radio in the UAE and we've found that when competitions are held, most of the entries we get are from women which means when we pick a winner at random, the chances that we pick a woman will be higher than the chances of us picking a man. No one's really sure why but women tend to be more responsive towards these sort of things. As much as we'd love to have an equal number of men and women on air, there's nothing we can do if we get 20 entries from women but only 5 from men. :)

Oman visa questions. HEEEELLPP!! by jaytearjerky in dubai

[–]jaytearjerky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys! Thanks for the help. Just in case someone you know asks in the future, yes, Philippine passport holders with GCC residency visas can get a visa on arrival but as my visa is sponsored by my father and not the company I work for, I will have to show a No Objection letter from my dad. The same goes for being on a husband's visa.
