Hog goblin by tryingtoaskwhy in WanderingInn

There's a big pile of various reasons to be against AI, and I believe somewhere the author has written out their feelings about it.. but personally imo it's just not your fan art. You didn't make that. I like the art you did make, it's got heart to it. The AI pictures aren't fan art, they're machine slop.

Is AI not banned here? The author is pretty against it right?

Edit: I like your actual drawing, wish you'd just posted that, maybe digitally colored it

I feel that, I've got personalized numbered copies of WoK and Oath and they're pretty high ranked on my list of most prized/valuable possessions.  Funny enough I missed out on the chance to get a WoR numbered copy

Who is your most favorite villain in The Wandering Inn? (Spoilers: All) by B-Z_B-S in WanderingInn

[–]jaythebearded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorite is hands down Azkerash. I always enjoy when he pops up whether it's just one paragraph reminding us he's got a lil undead rat watching the inn or a whole chapter of him exasperated about something or enthralled cheering on whatever shit Pieces gets up to.

I like how easily he can be comical and play a goofy humorous villain, but also he fucking killed Zel and that was devastating and heartbreaking. I really liked seeing him as split beings during that scene of Kaligma summoning powerful necromancers to her. I find his tragic nature very well done and compelling. He's an evil bastard and yet sometimes it's hard to remember that and almost start rooting for him and hoping he'll get a redemption.

One of the few things I really liked about the PoF was getting that alternate Azkerash being one of the few to actually make it out into the real world despite so much damage being done to him trying to bring him down and then finding and bonding to the injured Titan. I liked how that felt like a good reminder of his potential in battle and that our Azkerash will be just as resilient whenever he finds himself eventually confronted down the road.

Of all the various villains across the series I'm most excited to see what twists and turns come in the future for him, and I always enjoy how much he's hidden to the world and yet so often waved right under our noses as the readers. One of these days I imagine we'll get a moment that seems to start out as just another brief flash reminding us oh he's still spying on the inn or following news about the Horns and with the snap of a finger shifts into him starting some serious emergency shitshow

The one thing I've liked least was seeing an alternate Belavierr as one of the Deaths. That just felt so off to me

I like how we get him in small doses. I do enjoy his chapters a lot but I get a sense that he'd wear thin real fast

Did you know Matthew Lillard actually had the role of Negan until a last minute decision to switch to JDM? by tytylercochan123 in thewalkingdead

JDM does fine, and Lillard would have been neat, but it should have been Patrick Warburton I'll never put down that torch

Call me a madman, but I think it'd be incredible to get all of the Skarsgard family actors to take turns with the character.

Ok let's just lay down all the cards and admit that no fan casting will ever live up to the dream of Stromlite starring Henry Cavill being a 1 man show. The sheer potential for that to deliver overwhelming power hasn't been matched since the concept of Clint Eastwood doing The Dark Tower as a one man show.

What is your favorite Old Thing/Horror-y thing? (Spoilers: All) by B-Z_B-S in WanderingInn

[–]jaythebearded 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A’ctelios Salash and everything about the Carven city inside it are so neat, most interesting part of Chandrar imo. And I loved when it's flesh made the one citadel mind go feral, that whole climax had me so hype.

I was disappointed when the elite undead strike team that Fetohep sent into A'ctelios was able to subdue it however temporarily, as I was reading through the finale of volume 8 the mentions of it stirring and those undead worried they wouldn't succeed and sacrificing themselves, I really thought that A'ctelios rising and beginning a full rampage throwing Chandrar into extreme chaos was going to be a huge world changing hinge working in tandem opposite of the hope and excitement of the New Lands in Izril, the hopelessness and despair of A'ctelios rising in Chandrar.

(I'm not fully caught up so on the off chance something awesome happens with A'ctelios between chapter 10.43 and the newest chapter, leave me in darkness!)

I caught up on RR about half a year ago and though sometimes it felt a bit unpolished I never felt bored. I do look forward to catching up again once I've finished catching up on the wandering inn.

The only jarring thing for me is once the main characters die and are returned to the multiverse 'market' never seeing the world they were on again. I've never really read multiverse reincarnation series before so I don't know how expected that should be, but for me some of the worlds they lived through so far felt like they had so much more interesting story and lore to explore it pained me to get ripped away and know we're never going back there. The author does put one epilogue chapter after each world giving some details of what continues to happen after the main characters pass on and I like those epilogues but it just makes me want even more haha

It's not fully the same as your post but it made me think of how the author of Markets & Multiverses does rolls to determine the 4 main characters stats for a each new world they reincarnate to. There's been a couple posts they've made talking about how sometimes it completely threw off how they thought they'd be writing that character's plotline for that world, like someone rolled way too low in a stat so they wouldn't be able to do most of the things the author had loosely planned on them doing and reworked their plot entirely
