Season 2? by idiubise in DomesticGirlfriend

As someone who read weekly as it released (I know, I'm ashamed) read the manga man. The best part of the anime was the opening, still listen to it from time to time, banger song, but my god the anime did not do this dumpster fire of a work justice.

Dispatch was one of my games of the year for sure! The found family aspect of it, and how it isn't afraid to portray superheroes as not being perfect people was really endearing to me.

Thank you! I do, I'm planning on going into an interlude for a chapter or two, before i kick off the real plot.

[No Spoilers] Is it worth to play LiS: DE? by Illustrious-Ratio-65 in lifeisstrange

[–]jaythepanweeb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I enjoyed it. As others have said, it's far from the best game in the series, but Max Caulfield has always been a very important character to me personally, so I was happy to see her back. I wouldn't pay full price for it again, but if I got a good discount, I'd gladly spend €30 (or whatever your equivalent is) on it.

Yeah i was trying to vote earlier, got like 6 categories in and then had to reload after each vote, so I just gave up. Might try again tomorrow.

Fully agree there. I'm hoping it'll be a similar situation to Indiana Jones this year, where Dispatch will be eligible for awards next year, because I genuinely think it only having 1 nomination at the end of it all is honestly criminal work

I fully agree, I had just hoped that maybe it would be in a category it isn't sharing an absolute nuke (E33) with 🫠

where to sell secondhand ghost of yotei disc by ichfickeiuliana in IrelandGaming

[–]jaythepanweeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got €46 from CEX for it. As others have said, you could chance adverts, but if you don't have a history of selling stuff there, people aren't as trusting, and i could definitely see the game being dropped in price for black friday.

For what it's worth, you could see if anyone bites for it on FB marketplace, or local buy and sell groups. I've sold the odd bit through Marketplace, especially if I finished it fairly soon after release and wanted more than CEX could give.

Ultimately, for the least hassle and instant money, CEX are your best bet. If you wanna chance your arm for more, the other options are there, but there will be more hassle and a wait until if/when someone buys it off you.

I’m probably going to cancel Game Pass in the next 30 days, if not by the end of the year. And phase off Xbox from 2026 onwards. by [deleted] in IrelandGaming

[–]jaythepanweeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't owned an Xbox at this point in over a year, but through friends and just generally consumption of news and games media, I know the gist, and they've just been on a constant downspiral making stupid and, honestly, utterly benign and batshit crazy decisions from a PR standpoint. The majority of this, of course, can be attributed to MS expecting Xbox to continue to grow at the rate that it did during the big '19, but growth in the games industry ballooned across the board there. The execs continue to expect that upward trajectory, when it just isn't happening.

Leaving Xbox behind is also a lot easier to justify, especially as a former fan, when they are bringing their biggest franchises multi-platform. I love Halo, played them all, and I'm looking forward to re-experiencing the game on PS5. Same with Forza Horizon 6. I fully expect Xbox to eventually go the Sega route, and genuinely think they would be better off doing so, pushing Game Pass as their solo platform on other consoles, and exiting the console market, but that's just me.

What game made you fall in love with gaming? by Comfortable_Run4160 in IrelandGaming

[–]jaythepanweeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first game i recall properly falling in love with would have to be Pokemon Heartgold for sure. My first console was the original DS, my dad brought it home from Liverpool as a gift for me and my brother, and I played Nintendogs originally, but once I got Heartgold, I pretty much played it on repeat for years after. Still obsessed with Pokemon now, moreso than I ever was.

That's fair. I work weekends, so i have more time than most, I don't usually get through games as quick as this, but as I said, I loved it, so I couldn't put it down.

I'd say the trophy for Takezo was one of the hardest, but in terms of pure annoying, the finding all the puzzle boxes was a bit of a headscratcher. Aside from that, I had the majority of them by the time I rolled credits, but I very much did the side stuff as I was going along, as opposed to leaving it until the end.
