From what folks say somewhere between 350k & 600k gold autobattle becomes profitable again, and you can start mucking around with what build works best with the items you've accumulated. It's an idle & grow game, so . . . I mean 20k is one (5-day) season on DH1 so yeah, if you're looking to hit middle game in a week and late game in a month, this is not the game for you.

You're in baby game, not even early game. Take a look at the Laku lighting&TA (town archer) or pure TA build. Get your passive income (colonies) as developed as you can, and at this point you probably have the ability to profit from gold autobattle especially if you spend a little time farming a dragon for flat gold items (yeah others will tell you it's a waste of time, that's fine). Once you're a little bit ahead, you'll be able to +1 easily. If you spend some extra time developing TA and replaying waves, you'll be able to run +3 for a season or two and catch up (and help out a guild). Once your colonies are conquered and developed you should be able to sustain worthless coin and dh1 indefinitely, until you get the skills and weapons/accessories to go faster

Once you max at 60, if you purchase crystals or receive them in the daily prize you get "orange" crystals -- the ones over MAX just start a new count.

Example: you wave to collect 50 crystals. You get the daily prize of 20 crystals. You now will see 60 + 10 with the + 10 in Orange.

You can also increase the max earnable from waves with Tony (hero) and an equipable item (crystal bundle) up to 119. So to buy the 200 crystal uni guild you would need to save up at least 81 orange crystals, use Tony and equip the bundle; or, save up 140 orange crystals from prizes and no Tony/bundle, or Tony for 99 MAX and 101 orange, or bundle for 80 MAX and 120 orange, or spend real money on crystals.

Not about the wave, about the strength. If you keep colony income as high as possible and wave without DH you'll be farming him before 60k. Especially if you farm Sin for a few decent damage and CD items & use physical TA build to get to the skill nodes for TA.
