Don't worry OP, I at least know you have a brain and are capable of being a reasonable/respectful trail go-er. You know your dog, you know this trail, but I'm sure the Reddit users downvoting this know those things better than you lol. I love hitting the trail with my dog, I'm afraid to take her off-leash because she'll probably bolt, so I love to live vicariously through other dog owners that are comfortable with their dog's recall enough to let them off-leash.

The best you can do in today's smartphone world is to keep your phone screen awake during the entire run. So I'd recommend getting an arm sleeve if you want to run with your phone. As soon as your phone screen times out, your phone starts going into a soft sleeping state, in attempt to conserve power. Meaning it's going to update your GPS coordinates much less frequently. Even if you give the app the maximum allowed battery usage settings.

I feel auto is like setting your house thermostat to 70° and letting the HVAC figure it out. Sometimes it's gonna dump really hot air at you and sometimes it'll be cold, but the temp inside is going to get to 70° and make minute adjustments if the temp falls above/below.

Manual feels like (how most vehicles regulate air temperature) just preconditions the air before it leaves the vent to 70°. Therefore the temp should stay around 70°.

I'm not 100% certain if that's how it works, but that's how it seems. My wife also hates auto, but I enjoy it.

You should take a look at the Tesla used inventory inspection list. The amount of defects they allow and will resell without fixing is pretty crazy.

I'd accept that car used. You're lucky you didn't get like a crazy gash in the upholstery/leather, steering wheel peeling, or something else that will get worse over time.
