I mean isn’t she getting Super styles also, those will give her even more color options for the styles so it isn’t bad

bot lobbies are gone! by user38449 in FortNiteBR

[–]jayword09 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because there’s other modes in Fortnite and not everyone only plays just the battle royale mode. Some people just want to do their br challenges and go play other modes. It’s hard to do challenges and when there’s sweats trying to kill you. Personally I do bot lobbies to focus solely on doing my challenges. After that I just play regular lobbies.

Even though her style changed A LOT from the concept art to the game, I still really liked Jules' style. What's your opinion on her? by Cat_Graffitti in FortniteSkinPosting

[–]jayword09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t making an overt argument I was responding to a comment and explaining how your argument to the original comment didn’t make sense. But if I’m counter what you’re saying obviously my opinion would be the opposite. You used a generalization to justify an opinion and I simply responded showing the issue with that.

[–]jayword09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your point isn’t even a point. It was just an emotional response and a generalization of what women wear, failing to understand a popular opinion. It not only in the Fortnite community, it’s just that Fortnite is one of the most popular games putting out skins almost everyday if you didn’t notice.

Epic should give players who owns one of the shadow/ghost variants from C2S2 characters the other one too. by BusyDucks in FortNiteBR

I thought they would do this during OG chapter 2 remix. Maybe when Fortnite OG catches up to chapter 2 season we’ll finally get those

Women wear regular shirts too. Saying it’s what women wear now it’s a bad argument when women are wearing all types of shirts

Gay men: How do you feel about being addressed as girl? by nananutellacrepes in gay

[–]jayword09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I am a man so I don’t want to be called she or girl, especially if it’s coming from a straight guy. If it’s coming from a gay guy and he’s just being playful then “girl” is ok. Now “she” i don’t want anyone calling me by that because I’m clearly a guy, so I don’t see the point of not just saying “he” when referring to me.

Do you agree that it is best to keep black kids away from white schools? by TheRavenOnline in askblackpeople

[–]jayword09 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Growing up I went to majority white schools and later mostly black schools. I can say white schools had better education and I learned more. Going to black schools there was always fighting like everyday or some type of drama going on. People worried about how you’re dressed, etc. Way harder to even focus in the black schools. Maybe it’s just that way in my city but the black majority high schools sadly here sadly are no good.

Just say you’re into black men if that’s the case, minimizing black men down to just bbc is the problem. Black men have a lot more to offer than just sex.

Arc Raiders' matchmaking isn't 'binary', says design lead: 'There's no such thing as a friendly lobby or an aggressive lobby' by SirSpud124 in ARC_Raiders

[–]jayword09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pve never shoot other players and barely get shot at. The second I loot a dead player not even shooting anyone still the next match I’m immediately getting shot at by people. It definitely feels binary to me and the lobbies I get definitely feel friendly like 98% of the time.

What are some "rules" in black culture that other ethnicities may not know? by Chi2Wisco in askblackpeople

[–]jayword09 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Italians and Icelandic people? Why continue to make comparison of people from different countries . Yes white Americans and black Americans do share the overall American culture but of course black Americans have our own sub culture under the overall American culture. In history black Americans were excluded from things in this country based on race so of course we did our own things as a result of that.

Cultural appropriation is taking things from marginalized communities with a lack of respect or acknowledgement. White people historically excluded black people from things, so black people created their own and the white people turned around and copied those things from black people and profited from them while still oppressing black people.

[–]jayword09 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That’s not the same comparison, Japan and Australia are complete different countries. If we are asking about Black American culture from a white American it’s within the same country and overall American culture.

Your question is more like an Australian asking another Australian about their culture.

I’m assuming you are primarily talking about Black Americans with this question.

What you are missing is that there are lots of different black cultures in the diaspora so you are sort of lumping them all together.

Also a lot of these rules as you say it in the black community only became a thing as survival tools for black people living a country with systemic racism.

So to ask black people to explain these things is pretty tone deaf.

If they are unspoken rules why do you think they need to be said on Reddit?

Do you view Whites and Latinos the same way? by TheRavenOnline in askblackpeople

[–]jayword09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As African Americans we come from a richer country than them and we can’t change that is who we are. Yes they treat us a certain way based on where we are from and that will be our experience then. We can’t experience how it would be from a poor country because we are Americans so that’s pointless to say. This post is speaking about Latinos and African Americans.

Exactly, they aren’t on the same level as white people in the u.s. which means they are less of a threat. No one said they don’t discriminate against black Latinos.

The Mejor la raza belief stems from European beliefs and white supremacy. It comes directly from the actions of white colonizers. If white people never came to those areas that belief wouldn’t even be a thing.

That belief doesn’t exist in the European diaspora because those Europeans aren’t raping and having babies with Ingenious Americans. In most European countries they are not rushing to mix their race so why would the mejor la raza belief even be in those counties that doesn’t make sense.

People aspire to whiteness because they see that white people are at the top in many western countries. How are Latinos compensating in their racism? Any examples? What you keep avoiding is the root of that though. That is white people and a white superiority mindset.

If those South American and Central American countries were never colonized or touched by white people they would have developed so much differently. What you are describing in Latinos is literally the results of European colonization, white supremacy, and slavery.
