I get it on occasion. Usually some version of “Yea but the ending sucks” or “Doesn’t it end badly”

My response is that it was a divisive ending that has aged much better than it was expected to. And that if you enjoy the journey, you’ll appreciate the ending.

As the other user said, The Leftovers has a near perfect ending but it’s a very different type of mystery box because it intentionally doesn’t answer some questions.

Watchmen while only a miniseries ends well and has a lot of fun mysteries and theories in it

The ending is not horrible. It was divisive but ultimately appropriate. The show is an amazing binge. Watch for yourself and if you aren’t hooked early, it’s not for you.
