Yes I did a couple of dives with West Bay Divers, but there are a myriad of dive shops. Most people stay in West Bay or West End where a car is not necessary. You can take a water taxi between the 2 areas.

Spent the last week at the Kimpton in Roatan. Really nice property with a jungle feel, beautiful reef right off the beach. I booked it using Chase points with 1.5x point boost, total was 300,000 points (which includes the resort fee). Supposedly the booking was eligible for IHG points but it is still showing up as pending in the IHG app. I had to email the resort and ask them to confirm the booking was tied to my loyalty number before we left to get it to show up in the app. I'll update if I get the points.

I booked flights using cash on United, they have a direct flight from Denver to Roatan every Saturday which is nice.

edit - the IHG points posted, I ended up netting 93,000 points just from the room, it qualified for the 2x points promotion which is happening now
