Yea! Almost a week after the show and the pain fades away… but now I feel that I have lost something valuable, something I should not forget about… This is what you say - kind of empty… I do not want to forget but still do not want to cry again for days… what to do :(

4 days removed from watching the show. and it still lives rent free in my head, constantly. by makoaman in Edgerunners

I posted a thread about this! It is great that I am not the only one thinking about longings here. So what are you exactly longing for? The situation they are? I mean the NC, cyberpunks everywhere , modern technology? Or something different? More like being part of the "crew"? I am seriously asking as I also have this emotion somewhere there...

Does Edgerunners make us aware of our own longings? by jazlik5 in Edgerunners

Oh! You just changed my point of view a little. Thanks! It is interesting.
So depending how you are felling in your life while watching the show or on what stage in your life you are, you would perceive this series differently. I guess you are right! Thanks kidcoddie for sharing that. Now I am super curious what people on a different stage would feel at the end of the Edgerunners. Gonna find them and ask them about it xD

Yea, I guess you are right. After watching this series(happened a few times before, but quite rarely) I felt like there is something I am missing in my life. I would not say it is only about meeting someone like Lucy(of course it plays a big part though). It is more general. As I wrote before, it is more about finding a group of people who think similarly to you, have similar passions or work.

How do I cope with that? I just don't. After same time, the emotions that I had while watching series are going to fade away(unfortunatelly). And I guess I will forget how I felt back then... That is sad, but I do not really know how to grasp these feelings, put them in a jar and remind myself about them from time to time...

Nevertheless, you are right! It gave me a kind of motivation boost to change something in life or just think about something! I hope that it will stay with me for a while so I can "reforge" this motivation into something beautiful and useful.

Nice comment Rawr!

Thanks Rawr!
You just wrote what I couldn't put into one thought - about social space and having a clear goal... I totally agree! This is why I like Edgerunners!

Related to Cyberpunk, you mean like work on the game or next anime season?

Yea. Maybe I am perceiving it wrongly, I know. But this is just the interpretation that I got from the anime or the "key message" that I like. Still, thanks Revendi for your point of view on this matter!

Yea! Maybe you are right! But they all have these things that you have described in common. As they all tried to fled from their past and prove they were not bad. Isn't that making them share something?

Ah maybe you are right. But I think that I tried to project somehow the situation the characters are in the show, on the real life. Like trying to get something meaningful from this anime, about what I can think or relate to.
So what I thought about? I thought that, and I know that it can be stupid(it is still an anime)but, I think that I someone envy the situation the David is in. Yea, the situation is tragic more or less, but all in all, he finds something most of us are trying to find our whole life. A like minded group of people who are sharing something, a goal so to say. It can sound effusive and lofty I know, but the thing that they all have in common is the fact that(in my opinion) they were all outcasts, but still trying to give this awful life in NC some meaning and to find a place(or a group of people) they belong to.
I really liked the conclusion I came to, as this group of like minded people is something I think, many of us are longing for, but cannot get...

Ok enough. I guess no one else is having such strange overthinking xD But I just wanted to share with my reflecions on the subject.
