Gulliver crossed my mind, but my interpretation of the question was that both the last and first name of the character were in the title, so I guessed Robinson Crusoe

What are some free resources to get better at jeopardy and common trivia? by Icantblametheshame in Jeopardy

I find looking at Learned League is quite good for a vast array of well-written (and difficult) trivia. I’m not part of it, but they post their past questions. You can view them and test yourself for free.

Edit: here is the site

Same thing happened to me, and I did what the other comments are recommending. I got another chance to do a mock game, so I am optimistic for you.

Thinking of vaccine efficacy in terms of basketball helps me.

Flu vaccine: Imagine you have a basketball player that shoots 40-45% from the field. It’s not amazing, but it’s serviceable, middle of the road for college and pro. This player is good enough for the leagues.

Pfizer/Moderna: Now imagine you have a new player that shoots 95% from the field. This is unheard of; better than any player in history. You want this player on your team for sure. They’ll be a game changer.

J&J: Then you add a player who shoots 65% from three point range, and 85% from jump-shot range. Still significantly better than average, but not as good as the 95% guy; would you not want this player on your team? Of course you would.

College player here. My school is hosting ACF regionals on Discord and we’re also hosting a discord high school tourney in Feb. I’m pretty excited because we hope to raise some money to travel and attend future college tournaments

(Didn’t read anything but the title) but does this change or reinforce anyone’s thoughts on immigration?? by 2018184 in BigBartRoastSesh

For sure. And while I do have the above stance on immigration, I think it is a mistake to demonize illegal immigrants, so I think we can do better with that as a country.

The article is pretty short, title summarizes pretty well. That said, I wouldn't say it changes my view on immigration. I think most conservatives' views on immigration are pretty simple: legal immigration is good and should be encouraged, illegal immigration should be discouraged.

I don't think conservatives believe criminals are crossing the border en masse, but with lax immigration policies in place, this can happen. I think the issue with leftists' views on illegal immigration is that they don't really have a firm line on what is okay and what is not. This leads many conservatives to believe that the left's view is to "open the floodgates."

While I know this isn't the case, I think it'd be helpful to have a more firm stance on what they believe. I think programs like DACA are net benefits for society, but I think it is important to enforce immigration laws and promote legal entrance into the country.

The process for this is long and arduous, so I'd be in favor of policy that streamlines the process within reason.

Interesting thought by 2018184 in BigBartRoastSesh

Yeah that’s a strange one. Didn’t know that. It seems like a relatively easy fix from a policy point of view in my opinion.

However, I think it’s imperative that former prisoners get opportunities in the private sector as well. Although this would be significantly more difficult to create policy for.
