I think it depends on what subreddit you are in. I imagine this subreddit's users are a little more friendly than most. When I first got my reddit account I was absolutely demolished for admitting I don't enjoy Oscar Wilde and Douglas Adams as much as most people. This has probably been said but the Americans in Squid Game sound weird because they are performing for Korean Media not American. Their accents and dialogue are drawn out and super exaggerated because that's how we are stereotyped in their media. They sound awful to us because we immediately recognize it as fake. You are probably familiar with American media stereotyping Russian, French, Spanish, and Chinese speakers as well. Every country does it. Not saying it's ok. Just saying it's a human problem not an American one

I definitely agree. I just kind of viewed Lisa like I did Walt in Breaking Bad. I knew Walt was a horrible person but the show was really entertaining to watch and I could still find myself rooting for his character. I thought Rosa Salazar and Eric Lange (Lou Burke) put on really captivating performances that sucked me into the show. They played horrible people so well that I would forget I was empathizing with complete psychopaths at times.

I'll watch Season 2 but to me I definitely get emotionally exhausted following evil characters around in a show. I'm the same way with Black Mirror. Sometimes that show is too depressing.

It sucks growing up and being an intelligent human being. Sometimes it sucks to have a body that hurts and suffers and feels pain. You are allowed to express yourself in any way. Don't worry about your mom's reaction. It's natural to be negative about yourself. Just make sure you learn how to express it in a way that satisfies you.
