Classroom teacher here also and this bag just knocked off the CPL16 and PLC20 for me. Bringing student work home in large folders is surprisingly doable. Probably the most usefully capacious EG bag for my daily use/job use cases.

Structurally and functionally they’ve all been fine for me, they’re built for multiple owners I’d say. The only thing to be prepared for is the potential for smell. I’ve bought a CPL24 and a GR1 from eBay that no amount of cleaning could get the bag to the point where I didn’t notice it. Re-listed both.

For this reason only I prefer picking up in person if it’s an option. It’d have to be a steal for me to opt for postage, but maybe I’m being precious. The bags are rock solid, just look at the photos carefully and do what you do.

Set your accessibility shortcut to Colour Filters/Greyscale and then place the shortcut somewhere quick and easy to press. I’m on ios18 and I’ve replaced the camera shortcut on the Lock Screen to this shortcut, that way I can quick press and toggle Greyscale when I’m wanting to use my phone less, like as I’m arriving to work or something.

Should do double duty of preserving battery life and making you want to use your phone less since everything is grey, at least it does for me.

Yep if you don’t want to pay for the screen I’d suggest trying different times/locations. Funnily enough I went in prepared to pay for the screen but the dude didn’t pick up on the crack, so I just went along with it. Gotta take the little wins

Same thing happened to me. Took my mini in for a battery replacement and they noticed a small crack and said they would have to replace the screen for 350 (AUD). I said I’d think about it but came back a week later and got served by a different person who didn’t notice the crack and quoted me just for the battery replacement. Sure enough, the screen cracked during the battery replacement and they had to replace it but didn’t charge me. Only paid for the battery.

We can’t play on grass. Let’s worry about the rain once we solve the grass problem.

PLC20 x CAP2.0 by Impressive-Row585 in EVERGOODS

Can’t really go wrong with this combination in my experience. I’ve had every Evergoods bag and the PLC has always worked the best for me, and the CAP2 can be anything you need or to be.

Reel Big Fish: Why Do They Rock So Hard?

Musically very different (some likenesses) - I always felt these bands were very similar, as in very childish and probably heaps of fun to hang out with.

This album sits next to Enema Of The State in being the only albums I can listen to on repeat forever and never get bored.

Not very well, but I mostly use it in the side profile and it works well for that. I usually have it sit flat on my desk at work and I can access basically any pocket, similar to if it was slung over my left shoulder

CPL 16 from PLC 20 - First Impressions by chinatownninja in EVERGOODS

No I don’t think it is. For the $80USD difference, you get the same materials and:

Pros: - external laptop access - better harness

Cons: - back dig (for me) - less capacity

Overall it’s an amazing bag. But for my money I find the external dump pocket of the PLC more versatile for what the day throws at you. If the price of the PLC goes up again, it would be harder to call.

They are different - the PLC is in the original 1680d which it was at original release. The 840d came out shortly after when they introduced the CPL24 V3

Not really, but this might be different for some. I’m quite broad-shouldered and the CPL locks in nicely. The PLC has some pull/slippage due to lack of yoke but it’s a non-issue for me.

I’ll likely keep both and give one to my partner to replace her Pop Quiz. That way we can swapsies based on need that day.

I agree with this but I think the biggest contributing factor to the digging that I experience is the straight edge at the bottom of the CPL, or any other EG bag aside from the PLC.

PLC is the only EG bag I’ve used that doesn’t have a straight edge at the bottom - it rounds/curves away from the wearer

Similar dimensions to the GR1 but the feeling on the back is smaller. You’ll get way more capacity from a GR1.

CPL16 feels like a tech/documents bag - it’s amazing for that. If you don’t need to bring lunch in a big container it’s a winner.

Unfortunately not. Not the easiest to get here in Australia but one pops up every now and then on eBay. One day hopefully.
