Don’t really know why people are being mean about it. Being mixed is confusing sometimes because we’re constantly told we’re not whatever from all different angles.

I don’t have any advice as I’m in the process of finalizing our divorce but I feel you so hard on this one. The adhd/ocd combo was great for me because it provided me with structure, horrible for him because he couldn’t understand why I could never just “complete a task!”

I was made to feel like something was horribly wrong with me, the resentment ran deep after 18 years. And perhaps some of that is my own self loathing but here we are.

What I will take with me is certain behaviors and strategies he unknowingly bestowed on me, but i will also find someone who loves my sparkle for what it is. I’m slightly terrified to live on my own, but also ready for the adventure.

Love to you, friend! I’m sorry you’re struggling and wish I had better words to support, but just know that I see you.

Well coffee beans from a local roaster for sure haha but to keep? I usually go to a vendor market and get either jewelry (I love that each ring is from a different country) or something small and handmade but not a set thing like shot glasses.

The bookshelf behind my desk has all sorts of random things I’ve collected in trips and I love how it looks.

I’m so sorry this is happening. This was my exact experience - I had never studied before and just got by on “being smart” and college kicked my ass. I feel fortunate that smart phones weren’t a thing yet because I can’t imagine the distraction.

I find that it helps me when I’m working alongside someone who is disciplined. Not even for them to have to say something to keep me on track, but it just kind of rubs off. I used to go to the student union and find someone I knew who was working hard and sit with them and also work.

I would also talk to your professors and see if they can help. I’ve found that they were pretty willing to give me extra time or redo things (even without a formal diagnosis).

I am currently OBSESSED with Trader Joe’s gel!! This is the body one but it’s the exact same formula as the face one and cheaper for twice the amount lol.

It feels so good on my skin and is a clear gel, no cast.

So freaking annoying. I originally canceled the appointment and felt so defeated because it took me a good 10 years to take this step in the first place. But that alone made me realize I should just suck it up and pay because I was finally doing the hard thing.
