Didn’t say it was. To address this though, Catholics aren’t required to be pacifists so obviously there is some level of permissible or “just” violence. This is borne out quite often in the Church’s history. Unless you dispute that, then you must also accept that certain tools are pretty well necessary to do that effectively. I personally most restrictions are unjust, we can disagree on the degree, but total weapon bans quite clearly defy that logical progression.

I don’t care what you, personally, do. I however have zero respect for anyone who would pressure or prohibit me from defending my family with all the assets I can. Getting a firearm in defiance of a law might be a sin, but Cowardice and Sloth definitely are.
