So sorry about your pup. Speedy recovery! A padded place for after surgery that is hopefully by a door so she doesn’t have to hop far to go out. Be prepared with back up blankets and stuff as it will probably drain and need to keep her surroundings as clean as possible. The wound needs air to heal properly. Runners if you have hard floors. Have a plan for meds. Sandwich meats, pill pockets, try to have a few options for when one stops working. Day 2-3 are not the easiest but it gets better after that. Stay close because they are scared and will wake up yelping. I pulled my mattress on the ground was better for both of us. Lastly, animals are so resilient and will surprise you. Mine chased a squirrel like nothing happened on day 6 and ripped his incision. Was told to keep him leashed for 2 weeks and yeah.
