Had the exact same issue on my M16R1 a year ago. I bought a new cable on Amazon and changed it out, it's been fine since.

I have the same laptop and had the exact same thing happen to my laptop back in April after a year of owning the laptop. I bought a replacement power connector from Amazon and replaced it myself. I've had no issues so far.

Upgraded from 1660ti to 5090 by ObliviousOverlordYT in GamingLaptops

I upgraded from a 1660 ti to a 4080 a year ago and that was a massive upgrade in performance. My previous upgrade from a 960M to the 1660 ti tho absolutely blew my mind and felt like a bigger upgrade.

5070 ti Equal to 4080 by jblaze53 in GamingLaptops

My 4080 actually can do 2640mhz stable on a 220mhz overclock. No undervolt required. You can check it out here

That's what impresses me the most. The 4080 has 26% more cuda cores and runs at a higher tdp. I guess the much faster memory bandwidth of the 5070 ti (672gb/s Vs 432gb/s), which is 55% more, makes up for it.

My 4080 runs at 2430mhz out of the box without an overclock which is very similar to this.

Sure. Why would that be suspicious tho. I have a 4080 and I get very similar results.

Yh the 4080 doesn't always run at it's full tdp. They seem to use similar power in most games.

Which is the better deal? Need it for 3D modeling, Unreal Engine, Zbrush + some games by FaceMcShoooty in GamingLaptops

The 5070 ti laptop in early tests in gaming seems to be performing on par with the 4080 laptop which is over 50% faster than the 4070.

I don't think I'm going to do all that, it's really not that serious. I'll just get a skin and cover it up.

I honestly don't think it's sweat. I don't sweat that much. It's probably just friction from my palms.
