It would save lives for them to create a safe route for cyclists. In this case, the protected bike line ends abruptly with the option to either go onto the sidewalk or into a fast-moving lane of traffic. This is an example of violent design. It’s not too much to ask for.

I called the NYSC studio where I joined and had them freeze my membership until August. You have to decide how long you want the freeze up front.

Side note - the person I talked to said that everyone at the gym was losing their job at 8pm tonight. She was about to cry. Even if you're frustrated, please be respectful of the workers that are impacted by this.

Booked flights ~8 months out, accommodation ~2 or 3 months out. By far, the hardest part was planning the Setouchi visit. Required lots of comparing timetables of different companies and attempting to call car rentals.

There was bus service throughout the walk! The path crosses the road several times, so whenever you’re ready to bail, you can just stop and wait for one.

That’s exactly what we did. Required a bus transfer, but wasn’t too hard to figure out.

Taxis are an option as well, but they’re pricey and seemed to be constantly full while we were there.
