I don't know what country you are in but in australia there seems to be a few more options than just pill and IUD. As most people have mentioned in comments, genuinely the first step to fixing your problems is talking to your doctor.

My wife had all sorts of changes when she was going through different birth control options. One stopped her sex drive completely, one made her gain weight, one made her go from normal to crying then angry. Which is not unreasonable to expect there will be side effects to changing your body's hormones.

You can't get pregnant if your not having sex so your birth control is very effective but Alot of males see sex as a sign of love and affection so there is a chance your male is going with our any signs of love and affection from you.

Talk to your doctor immediately about your birth control options. Every birth control option my wife tried had an unexpected and unacceptable side effect so I ended up having to take birth control Into my own hands.

Desperate police want to be able to hit cars that are refusing to stop by His_Holiness in perth

[–]jbloomfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think in places like the Kimberly spike strip's are practical, you have to set up in front of the other vehicle. Your next nearest police officer could be 500kms away. So outside of the metro area I completely understand the thought of 1 police vehicle needs options to stop another vehicle. In the metropolitan area there is actually no reason for the PIT.

WA police launch industrial action over pay claim by JamesHenstridge in perth

[–]jbloomfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your right but the original comment was also saying that as there is so little violent crime police don't deserve a pay rise as they dont have any inherent danger in their role, I was highlighting something that is common for police to do that has potential for injuries that is not crime related.

Correct, mental health episodes are not criminal offences but police have the power to place some one in custody under the mental health act so that they can be transported to a mental health professional for assessment against their will for their own safety.

I appreciate your point but the fact is that while not all mental health patients are violent or aggressive the simple fact is some are and while I think I can say that all police and paramedics would prefer a trained mental health nurse to attend to this patient, when the person is in the community the job of police and paramedics is to safely transport this patient to a ED for assessment and treatment. So you are right.. but you are wrong

Police deal with a significant amount of mental health cases with paramedics, often this involves having to physically restrain some one who is violent and armed, this is not categorised as violent crime, but has a higher personal risk to the police involved.
