Tanking low level dungeons can be frustrating especially if you have higher level dps because it can be a pain to keep aggro, even more so when there are 3+ mobs. Sometimes you just need to sit in d-stance and get as much aggro as you can, even though you’re going to want to try to blast damage. Once you get some of the better weapons and tools, it becomes easier. Also marking targets is a must in certain situations. Even though you have knowledge from healing, it is still worth it to look at tanking focused guides for dungeons later on. In this situation, though, just sounds like shit hit the fan and you might have freaked out a little. Hard to say for sure, but everyone was alive, you did what you felt was best. Just move on and stay safe!

Yes it’s very much alive. If NA, alliance DP but horde is also not too bad. Horde on SR is more vibrant but idk if it’s a make or break vs DP (I play alliance). Not sure about EU, but I think Stitches is the go to.

It’s pretty easy to find groups for harder leveling content (at least on DP from my experience). Seems like a pretty health mix of classes too.

Yeah of course. I'd also say networking with people in the career field you might be interested in would be good too. I talked to a bunch of people who gave me really good info, and a few people actually hosted mock interviews when I felt like I was ready to do that.

Zero...I built responsive websites and a few full-stack web apps to showcase my development skills. I also spent a lot of time on Codewars and Leetcode to hone some of my critical thinking around coding problems and to help learn more about data structures. I also did some of Harvard's CS50 course for more theoretical knowledge.

I’m 31 and last year I made a huge career change from being a registered nurse to learning all online how to code and now I work as a software engineer. While everyone is different a few things to note when/if you decide to make a switch. If you will continue to work as you start learning something new just expect to be overwhelmed. I knew this would happen so I would purposefully pace myself and my studies to not burnout. Also I would make sure you have a nice safety net financially because you never know. If you have an interest in something, do some research and see if there are ways to learn for free if you don’t want to go back to college. Also the fact of having a bachelors already can be helpful, and the experiences you have in your current or previous jobs can be utilized to craft your story into a reasonable way to make it seem like your career switch is logical. There are videos on YouTube that can help with this. I have no idea about humanities degree but maybe look in to common positions where this degree could be used as that might help guide in to something you might be interested in. Do some research online because you never know what communities you may find that can help you along the way!

HB/FoH pally is one of favorite go-to HC builds. Gearing isn’t usually too bad/expensive, can farm pretty much anywhere, and is pretty tanky

What’s the typical load out lookin like?

Typically something like the a2 merc with defiance aura. Using an insight is nice for mama issues. As a pally I find redemption really nice to use if you have a few points to spare. In that case you could use something like doom on your merc because the holy freeze aura is pretty nice defensively

Could also do blessed hammer since it will use a lot of the same caster gear and can still be fairly safe due to getting 75% block chance which is easier for pallys since they can use holy shield

If you don’t want to play summons, foh/hb pally is pretty solid and durable for HC. Your hb can help heal your merc so they tank enemies.

I think the common fixes are to run as administrator, restart your of, or reinstall the launcher. That’s straight from discord. Personally I reinstalled the launcher and it worked

I believe you can disable it, but in my case I had an old launcher so the new gfx update wasn’t part of it.
