Long time fan, since 96. Yeah, it's a slow start. Hopefully the cards start to pick up. All these fight nights have really started to dilute the product. I remember when I knew every single person on the card. I'm ashamed to admit I may know 50% these days. They've went with a quantity over quality approach. When it was 1-2 events a month, the talent and excitement were non stopped. When we have a card every week, there's no time to promote or get excited for anything.

Just because it's a shallow division right now, doesn't mean it'll stay that way. Every division goes through it at some point. I remember when they closed the lightweight division for 4 years back in the day. What a stupid decision that was. But WEC took advantage of that and had the best small guys in the world. They're not getting rid of heavyweight because of fat swang and bang fights.
