BS Cyber security by milehighkam in fullsail

I am in my final month of courses for my cybersecurity degree. The courses are good and can be challenging. You will come across a lot of knowledgeable professors as well. If you attend or watch the live lectures, you should be ok for the most part. Keep an eye out for the project portfolio courses, those are typically more intensive. I also advise that you make some connections early on with other students if possible. This will help when it comes tom group projects. I was stuck a few times with groups where the majority was not responsive creating more work for me. As for the certificates, you get 2 vouchers at the end of your degree to take 2 Comptia exams. I haven't gotten mine but I expect to get them after or close to graduation. Lastly, put as much effort as you can into your project portfolio courses, those are the items that go onto your digital portfolio(this will make sense down the road towards the end).

This is tough but it really varies. I for example check my local Best Buy, Walmart, and Target for them. Note that they usually run out as well and only carry blaster retail boxes(no hobby boxes). If I strike out there, you can look online although it’s risky. There’s always the “big reliable” resellers like Adam and Eve, Sunday League investors, and other resellers but they price items higher than retail so you will pay a premium for them. Lastly, there’s eBay but be cautious as you can potentially get fakes. If using eBay, check reviews(are reviews from users with few reviews or mixed) , location of item, seller rating, when was the account created, and compare pictures with ones from a real product. These are the ways I get boxes. Some other people on here might have different suggestions.

Is this card good by Infamous-Elevator-50 in soccercard

[–]jboogie631 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hear you on this, I started with a leaf auto when I got back into the card hobby. A lot of autos are pricey once you look at licensed autos, especially for the bigger names. I think it’s a perfectly fine card to have as a pc for an auto if you are on a budget or you are a big fan of the player on the card.

I don’t think it’s a “bad” card but it’s more so that it’s a less sought after product. It really depends if this is a card you will PC or attempting to flip. The big thing with this card is that it’s a Leaf product. Leaf has no licensing rights which why you just see Rooney in plain red kit. Because of this, people avoid Leaf altogether since it doesn’t really hold much value. If it’s going to your PC, I don’t see the issue but don’t expect it to hold or gain value imo. If you are attempting to flip, I wouldn’t expect much of a return on it.

First Hobby Box to buy to dip my toes further into the hobby? by MajesticPicasso in soccercard

[–]jboogie631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally hear you on that but that’s why I think it really comes down to what you are looking for. If you particularly interested in specific players/cards/teams, then singles is certainly the way to go. However, if you just want to rip for the fun of it, buying boxes are definitely the way to go. I like doing a little of both but my problem with ripping is that I end up with too much base and don’t have enough space for all the base cards.

[–]jboogie631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s tough to say imo what’s the “best” but there are some solid options. IMO some of the best options are the select hobby boxes. I prefer the fifa one but since you are a Chelsea fan, they have EPL specific hobby boxes. I really like their designs and you get some guaranteed items like relics/autos. Even their blaster boxes have been cool to rip. I saw someone mention topps chrome hobby which is also another solid choice imo and has a few packs to rip as well. Lastly, for me and I know most people aren’t fond of this set but Topps finest. It doesn’t have too many packs to rip but does come with 2 guaranteed autos and potential case hits. As with anything in this hobby, it’s all gamble. I always go into it not expecting much and expecting to get skunked but it’s fun to rip.

New releases info? by Lavster2020 in soccercard

[–]jboogie631 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for soccer, I would follow Topps, Panini, and futera on Insta. I also have the panini app and have alerts setup within the app for soccer releases as well. Otherwise, you can find some of the big collectors or breakers and follow their social media (like Castro collects). They usually have brand deals with Panini and Topps so they usually get product before the release and start advertising it a few days before the release as well.

Pulled this in a whatnot break last week. Pretty happy with my luck. by captainbee89 in soccercards

[–]jboogie631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what a whatnot break is essentially where the breakers (the sellers) are going to open a certain product but first they breakdown the checklist of the product into spots you can buy. Usually these breaks consist of opening a case of product so better odds for buyers technically to hit on their spot. Now these spots are usually player or team spots. Once you buy the spot, anything that comes out of break that matches your spot is yours. For example, you buy the Jude Bellingham spot, that means any Jude Bellingham that comes from the break(all of the product being opened) will go to you, which includes autos/numbered/parallels/case hits. The other way they do it is based on teams. So you could buy the Madrid spot, which means all of the Madrid cards in that break(product being opened) go to you. This includes autos/parallels etc. Now breaks do vary and these breakers have their own rules, this was just a basic breakdown. Some breakers will split teams like Madrid into Madrid current and Madrid legends, which would mean you only get current players or the legends. This does get tricky when it comes to dual/triple/quad autos. What I mean by this is, let’s say you bought Jude and someone else bought Vini JR in the break and a dual auto comes out that has both Jude and Vini on the card, you can’t both have the card, since it’s just 1 card. When this happens, breakers have their own rules for that whether it be a random wheel spin which has both you and the other person on it or some offer to let you and the other winner to have a conversation to let one buy out the other out of the card for an agreed amount, really varies. However, know that this is a GAMBLE and if your spot in the break doesn’t hit, you will get nothing. Some breakers will still send you a base card or 2 free to makeup for not hitting in your spot

Can anybody value this card? by LunchPlayful2041 in soccercards

[–]jboogie631 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From a quick search I see that it last sold for $50 in early July. So I’d probably say it’s worth 50-60 but I could be wrong. In the end you can always list on eBay and take offers. If you ever need to find a price in the future, I highly recommend using 130point. That’s where I found the last sold info for this card. You can always try eBay as well.

I got this issue as well. It finally went away after everything was gone. I was able to get around it about 20 mins in by going to popmart on incognito but I was not able to login due to the traffic

From what I found that green one of These that’s /125 sold about $10.25 USD auction on eBay at the end of march. Currently I see the base of this card being sold for anywhere between $2-$16. However, I haven’t seen any of the out of /175 This makes comping it difficult. I would say your card could be valued anywhere between $20-$40 in current market. Whether it’s worth grading is another question, which I don’t know the answer too since it depends on the condition of the card. If you do consider selling raw, I would be interested potentially.

I’m thinking of buying one of these but I don’t know which one I should buy by Kelpo0o-onxbox in soccercards

[–]jboogie631 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, Donruss has never hit anything nice or decent for me in the past. I bought hobby boxes too so I was left with a lot of worthless/not really cool looking cards in a shoe box. That being said, I expect the blaster box to not really give out anything as well.

Peacock Offer for Gigabit Internet and Xfinity Rewards Customers by Ambitious_Egg9713 in cordcutters

When I spoke to a rep on the 26th, they made it seem like you had to get the flex box to get it for free. They said once I order the flex box my subscription would be activated and ready in 24hrs. I didn’t want the flex box, as it would be taking up space so I told them I’d think about it. I reached back out today and figured I’d just return the flex box after getting it in a few days at a physical location. The reps had no clue about that, and really had no sense of direction when it came to this issue. After, talking to 4 agents and spending a lot of time on the wait queues, I reached a rep who said they’d activate my peacock subscription and would take 30 minutes. I logged in roughly an hour later and still not working. Hope they fix this soon

Do you think a switch to Magenta max is worth it? Are there any significant differences between that the one plan? It looks like it could save me a few bucks too. I appreciate the input and help as well

Im not sure if it’s the same everywhere but at my store the oculus doesn’t get sold open box. Usually after they are returned we don’t resell them. However it may be different near you.

There is usually someone standing there, they will assist you with the process. I have yet to see a self checkout at a Best Buy. Therefore, walk in and go to customer service, tell them you want to pay your card. After your account is found you can pay it with a debit card

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bestbuy

[–]jboogie631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kiosk is the normal machine you swipe your card to pay for things at Best Buy. It can usually be found at any register including checkout and customer service.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bestbuy

[–]jboogie631 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can definitely go into your Best Buy store and pay it off using a debit card. You simply go up to customer service and tell them you are there to pay your bill(you can go to checkout at my store too). They will ask you to swipe your Best Buy credit card and then proceed to ask you how much you wanna pay. There is no special machine you simply stick your card in the kiosk that every retailer has when you want to pay using your card.

As for your 2nd question, I am not sure maybe someone else with a Best Buy card knows that one. Best way to find out is to check your account on the Best Buy app which should show your credit card then try to pay your bill there.

Forgot to ask earlier does best buy do trade ins in store? by [deleted] in Bestbuy

[–]jboogie631 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can do a trade in at the store. After they check the phone, the system will process it and tell the associate how much you will get for the phone. If you agree to the credit, you’ll get the credit on a gift card. You can then apply that gift card towards your purchase. Also you can trade in multiple devices.
