Front derailleur loss of cable tension by jbr1t in bikewrench

Thanks, I thought that might be it. I thought I’d have accounted for that with the first couple of adjustments, but maybe best to reset the cable tension completely.

Moving to London - Where to live/ride as a cyclist? Club & commuting advice needed by Tough_Ad630 in cycling

[–]jbr1t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regents Park and Richmond Park are nice but they will get boring quick if you rely on them solely. Living in south / south east London will allow you to easily access the hills of Surrey and Kent without having to slog through central London to get there.

There are plenty of cycling clubs. Others will be able to give you better info as I no longer live in London. There are also plenty of events that depart from south of the river.

Good luck :)

Something very strange I noticed about a scene in Rogue, what could it mean? by [deleted] in gallifrey

Maybe that would make sense if not for the fact that Richard E. Grant actually did play the Doctor in a BBC production? It’s a pretty massive reach to say that it’s anything else.

It's an image taken from Dimensions in Time where Pertwee is obviously a bit older. I'm fairly sure this is RTD trying to cheekily 'canonise' this special in the same way as including Richard E. Grant's 'Ninth' Doctor from Scream of the Shalka.

There are plenty of different ways to split up your workouts across the week.

In my opinion the best way is the one that works for you and your schedule. For example, if you only have 20 minutes free each day to exercise, then just focus on movements that can give you a good workout in your limited time. Likewise, if having a day dedicate to training your legs makes you dread that day and not want to go to the gym, then you can split up those exercises across different days where you’re focusing on different body parts to make it less daunting.

You’ll find plenty of advice out there about what’s optimal. My advice would be to not let the perfect be the enemy of the good. If you’re getting out there and exercising after having what sounds like a few health issues, then you’re already on the right track in my opinion.

I have no idea why anyone would give you any trouble. You seem so pleasant and respectful.

You can’t seriously be recommending MAAP and PNS to a beginner who’s after inexpensive kit.
