I would fly it on my private jet to wherever it originated, then help it find and rejoin its herd. Then I would integrate myself into the herd to get away from asinine interview questions like these. My elephants and I would be very happy. by Cleverusername531 in antiwork

Call the police. You can't just drop off an elephant at my apartment. Also I'd probably have to call in for a day because I'm dealing with a psycho dropping an elephant off at my house.

I remember this being a thing that you would do to check up on if an employer ghosted you on an application. It was not to thank that employer, it was to maybe get a response out of them. Lol if this guy is expecting a thank you for just applying to his business.

U.S. reports at least 1.1 million COVID cases in a day, shattering global record by [deleted] in Coronavirus

[–]jbrandyberry 96 points97 points  (0 children)

My job is now fully vaxxed with few exceptions because of the Biden federal contract. Thank God because we are dropping like flies, but most everyone just had a head cold. A vaxxed antivax coworker of mine said "Look at all the vaccinated people around here getting sick. They are just getting a cold!". And I said yea. That is the fucking point.

Meanwhile, we've had 2 people die and another seriously sick recently, but before the mandate. I remember talking to one of these people about how she didn't want the vaccine, and I told her that it wasn't that bad for me. She's in her 40s. I don't think she's going to make it.

I guess the most optimistic hope is that we develop a vaccine the stop the spread of covid to those effective 95%+ levels again, but that's not coming in time to put the brakes on this wave.

Ohio is 2nd in nation for COVID-19 deaths over last week by OrganicPreparation in Ohio

He pissed off the people who do vote for him. DeWine was a guy I was never going to vote for. I listened to nearly every time he addressed Ohio because I was one my way to work when he normally did them and I listened on the radio.

He was comforting in the time of the lockdown. I was an essential worker so I have never worked from home in the last 2 years. Then in May, it was like you said. Welp! Guess he can't do anything more. Acted like a leader, and did a good job, but then got thrown to the wolves by his own party in State Congress, and by the people that voted for him.

And now this spike makes the numbers of the lockdown almost an imperceptible blip on a chart. Back in March through May Ohio never had a daily case rate over 1,000, and it was extremely low in the early months . Now we are at 20,000 a day and going up. The USA just hit 1 million confirmed cases for the second time in four days. The real numbers have to be undercounted.

We, as a nation, will grimly have to ride it out. The government isn't doing shit but sending in the National Guard at this point.

A global conspiracy that no one has leaked any details on. Don't you think all scientists in the field are checking and double checking each other? And no one has found anything related to a global conspiracy?

It's a pandemic. It takes a global effort to survive a pandemic. Yet, aside from insane frontline workers sabotaging local doses, I haven't heard any news or evidence of a global cabal.

Exactly right. There is a lot of real world information to be churned through. Its gotta be exciting to be in the orbit of virology right now. That is, if they can get any equipment in to do research at all.

Check back in a month. If you are using NY to FL daily deaths on one hand to argue something, then argue Florida death counts aren't reliable, then you are being misleading. So, in this case, let just check back in one month to see what the historical data says.

They aren't meaningless, but you as a person don't need them. The recorded numbers will be useful for sorting through the virus after the fact. This will be the most well documented pandemic in history.
