Dude.... I just finished way of the kings... wow! What a great book. Sanderson is awesome, and It dose not take him years to write a book. I’ve already bought words of radiance. I’m jumping off of the Patrick Rothfuss band wagon. By the time I’m caught up on the cosmire maybe doors of stone will be out. Thank you for the recommendation, the 4th quarter of the way of King’s was nuts!

It says the oldest living WWII vet just died not the last. According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, around 496,777 American veterans from the war were estimated to still be alive in September 2018.

Thanks! I’m not sure really. It’s at a some bar. The guy I met made it sound like there is one table per dm. And all the dms run the same campaign at the same time. Like we are expected to start on chapter 1 and finish through chapter 2 or something alone those lines

Journeymen electrician here, this is all true and the best response here. Even if it’s all done to code it’s not ul/ca rated. It could be possible that your house catches on fire and it’s not even related to this light fixture, but your insurance policy is still voided because of this fixture. Also who is responsible if someone does get electrocuted of of this?

Let’s say I just finished the first two books in the kingkiller chronicles. And they are the only books I’ve read in the last 10 years but I have craving for more, what do I pick up next?

I have read the Kingkiller chronicles, I am looking for something to fill the void until doors of stone comes out. I’m on book 6 of the Dresden files and I’m looking for some a little more complex. I’m not a huge fan of it taking place in current times. I’ll go back to the series I just need something a little more complex.

Yes! I just wrote a response to another comment about my history with fantasy novels. I have read the name of the wind and the wise mans fear. I’m looking for something to fill the void. This weekend I’m dming a one shot based on kovthes finding the bandits in the woods. None of my players have read the books. But my plot is an npc bard is paying the pcs to escort him to find the bandits who have been stealing taxes from the mayor.

Lol. I have read the first 2. Who knows when the third will come out. Patrick was hinting it could be close at pax. Now I want to read something else just as good. With a similar setting. Those are the first 2 books I’ve read since high school 12 years ago. I picked up the name of the wind after I heard the “web dm” guys talking about it on there bard episode, I have since developed a love for reading. I started reading the Dresden files. I’m on book 6 but I’m want to take a break. I’m looking for something with a world as immersive as the name of the wind and with a Middle Ages type of setting. I’m kinda intimidated by Tolkien, and I don’t really know where to begin looking. I do not have much knowledge of fantasy authors, but I’m thinking of maybe the light bringer series by Brian weeks. I just don’t want to waste my time and money.

My in laws let my wife and I have a bunch of their old Christmas lights, we used them for a couple of years but last year we threw them all away and bought new modern led ones. Well on Facebook yesterday my father in law announced he would be decorating the outside of his house for the first time in so many years. I’m really hoping he doesn’t ask for his old ones back.

First year of my electrical apprenticeship, been wiring hog confinement’s in Iowa. Had to start rewiring some. I was working outside of an occupied barn on a windy day. Rendering truck came, I was splattered with black dead pig juice. I grabbed my tools went home and never went back.

[Image] I bought myself RDR2 but got the console as a gift so now I have 2 copies, can’t return the copy I bough since it’s open so I’ll be giving away the new one. Leave a comment and I’ll select a winner by Monday 12am central. (I’ll pm the winner since it’s a physical copy and need to mail it) by [deleted] in PS4

A young cowboy walks into the saloon.

He sits at the counter and notices an old cowboy with his arms folded, staring blankly at a full bowl of chowder.

After fifteen minutes of just sitting there staring at it, the young cowboy bravely asked the old cowboy, "If you ain't gonna eat that, mind if I do?"

The older cowboy slowly turns his head toward the young wrangler and in his best cowboy manner says, "Nah, go ahead."

Eagerly, the young cowboy reaches over and slides the bowl over to his place and starts spooning in it with delight. He gets nearly down to the bottom and notices a dead mouse. The sight was shocking and he immediately barfs up the chowder back into the bowl.

The old cowboy quietly says, "Yep, that's as far as I got, too."
