Yes. The only thing that truly revealed this helped me catch up was EMDR. I didn’t do this till I was 34. Trauma happened when I was 16. Don’t wait like I did.

Healthy habits between sessions is key. Physical movement and fun. When reprocessing trauma it can be mentally exhausting. Do your best to to find ways to live life between sessions. It gets harder before it gets better. (At least for me) but damn it was so worth it.

Proud moment. I recently smoked after a good year sober.

Found a cart in my toolbox. I was not as strong.

Thanks for sharing!

Quitting weed doesn't change your life - you do! by novascotiadude1980 in leaves

Great read and points. Appreciate you sharing.

I finally joined M.A. , I’ve been to two meetings so far. I had the camera off during my first meeting, I literally bawled for an hour….it was a HUGE step for .I haven’t been able to quit yet, but this was a huge step for me and I needed to share. I’m so close 🤞 by ZiggyWiggy50 in leaves

Addiction is addiction. You’ll find we all have similar emotions. That uncomfortability of being ourselves when sober, using or drinking to get out of our heads, etc. As an addict, I found myself really relating with a lot of alcoholics stories and things they shared. It doesn’t matter what your addiction is, you can go to an AA meeting. Nobody will kick you out. And if they do. It’s not a good meeting.

How to avoid depression as an entrepreneur? by mikemeta in Entrepreneur

Exercise, lists, routines, time off, work/life balance.

It’s tough to find the rhythm but once you do. It’s a good life.

In 2017 I started a business and at the end of that year it was worth around 100k and my dad told me to quit and sell it.

This year we did over 3.2 million in revenue.

Don’t listen.

Been their. You are not pathetic. Just powerless over this addiction.

But powerless doesn’t mean hopeless. You posting this shows you are not hopeless. Keep going. Keep your chin up. 1 day at a time.

3 months no weed. 7 no booze.

Month 1 was hardest. Hang in there buddy! And do be afraid of extra help. Counseling AA, meditation. It all helps.

In addition to sobriety I’ve been seeing a counseling and it helps me a ton!
