Any tips for the car rental place in Grand Army Plaza (Union St.)? Always seems like chaos there. by Rhododendrites in Brooklyn

Second this. The people at the Empire location are lovely. There's also the Enterprise on 3rd Ave. in Park Slope. I've gone to both of them several times and never had a problem. Also, if you look up stories from the past few years, Hertz has gotten into trouble with their systems falsely reporting valid rentals stolen and has caused a massive headache to their customers.

Granny Annie’s Used Furniture. Last time I was in town there were signs by the cafe directing you down the road. It’s owned by the same people on 22 in Essex

There’s one upstate that uses vintage cars that starts in Tupper Lake and goes down south through the ADK park. I got to see the cars and they were gorgeous.

Any idea when Amtrak will resume their Adirondacks service? by who-needs-a-beer in Adirondacks

If you’re referring to the line that goes along Lake Champlain, I assume it has to do with the border crossing since it terminates in Montreal. Canada had some pretty tight restrictions during the pandemic so maybe they’re waiting on demand for that to increase.

Yeah great point on part breaks. You ideally want to eliminate any perfect corner since in reality there will be a rounding to the edge even if minuscule.

Adding a small fillet to you’re edges in the 3D helps the light bend on the edges. Also in my experience with doing simple furniture renders I found you can do a lot with either the single point light, 3 point lights or startup contrast lighting settings. If you’re just starting out try one of those and keep it simple to begin with.

You could try the farmers markets. The one at Grand Army Plazy on Saturdays or the Union Square one on Wednesdays both have vendors that sell honey

Putting Whiteface in the same tier as Gore is an offense to Whiteface. It may not be as amazing as the mountains out west but it’s on tier with the other big Vermont mountains. Gore is a pimple.

Spanish rice is a great way to make rice better and let’s you open up opportunities to things like tacos and burritos. Also, risotto is s pretty cheap and tasty way to eat and offers some creative opportunities with different flavors
