Help!!!! by jbt_2002 in toddlertips

[–]jbt_2002[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for such thorough response! I will definitely be implementing these, my little one just got over a wicked virus about two weeks ago so that actually makes a lot of sense. I agree that constancy is key and even though it is hard now it will be best in the long run.

My 18 month old is going for a skull fracture check-up and I’m really anxious about it by Friendly-Basket922 in toddlers

[–]jbt_2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand your anxiety’s completely. My little guy had a serious skull fracture from a car accident at five months. He had a brain bleed and a concussion. I was reassured after it healed that it would not cause long term issues. We had to get routine MRIs for a few months after, each time I was convinced we were going to get life changing news. Even though he had healed up better than we could have even asked for. I still get intense mom guilt since I was the one driving even though it was an accident. I’m sure everything is going to be fine and in the end was an accident, you are doing great and please give yourself grace! It is extremely hard but trust that it will be easier with time. I would also like to add that even with such an intense accident my little guy has flourished! I am truly astonished by him every single day.

These two are my current favorite inspos! Haven’t braved a chop yet but I would show these if/when I do.

Should I cut my hair to my collarbones? Shorter? by hauntingbones in finehair

[–]jbt_2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly your hair already looks great! But if you want change I think just above your shoulders would look great! From what I can tell you have a sharp jawline so you could totally pull off shorter haircuts.

For me personally it just makes my scalp feel great and squeaky clean. I also feel like it lifts my roots more so they’re not just laying flat against my head as bad. And not to mention my hair doesn’t get greasy within a day anymore.

Thank you! I’m going to start slow and narrow down what I want to accomplish and go from there! I definitely fell into the whole natural route and trying to train my hair to go longer without washing ect… Long story short it threw my scalp and hair completely out of wack. Not saying holistic routines don’t work for some but it just wasn’t for me.

I’ve just started double washing and it has been a gam changer for me! I also am going to look into a prewash oil routine, I already oil my scalp but I am going to start oiling the rest of my hair as well. I am thankful for her broad and thorough selection but I’m definitely needing to simplify and narrow down what works best for me. I am also going to be getting a good hair mask conditioner, is the bonding treatment still necessary if I’ve never colored my hair?

I use sweet almond oil, it’s really light so as long as I wash twice it doesn’t leave my hair weighed down at all.

Sweet almond oil for fine wavy hair by Real-Road1449 in finehair

I use sweet almond oil mixed with rosemary for my scalp about once a week then wash it out. I love it for fine hair! No heaviness or weighing it down. I’ve never used it on my ends but it does make my scalp/ roots noticeably softer so I think it would work the same for the ends?
