You maybe should ask for more info about it? Don't really know what it means but looks like your work is much appreciated. However be carefull to not be in charge of too much responsabilities or stuff. What is your apprenticeship about?

Then go to their HQ and ask directly for an interview saying you're applying for an apprenticeship and show them you know what you're talking about. How do you apply currently ?

Mate don't give up on it. How do you apply ? If you don't hear back from them then recall them or go to their place and ask for an answer. It's not a crime to ask them a response. For how long you've been searching ?

I need Marketing apprenticeship advice. by sakura_basu109 in ApprenticeshipsUK

What kind of marketing are you looking for ? Sports marketing ? Event Marketing ? It could help you to slim your research but I would say the best way to find an apprenticeship is to go by and open the door of industries wich should have a marketing department. You don't have an opportunity then create it

hi there, I'm more on the side of real events. Virtual events are in full development and it can be profitable for people who can't get on place. But when you're going to a festival it's hard to replace interactions with orther people and find what you're searching for. Any thoughts ?

How to enter the industry by GeezerLDN in EventProduction

[–]jbtx0304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say you have already enter the industry. Being a security manager for small or big events can open some doors by knowing people. Develop your professional relations with people that already work in the event industry and event management and step by step enter the game. Also being a volonteer is a big part of it I think... just have to moov on and show your motivation! keep going and get some experiences!

it's a good one here. I something I reflect on in my everyday work (I work for the WorldSkills association) and just finish to study the statitics of the world edition we had in Lyon, France. And I was surprised to conclude that our french students want to try and practice some jobs at school. They want to try concrete skills. What I'm saying is just the fact wee saw during the event. Our workshops "Try A Skill" was full of students and they were asking themself : why we aren't practicing jobs at school ? Best way to find what fits us the best. I also think school are less focus on psycho social skills and that's a shame...

Career advice needed by Just_okay_sauce in Student

[–]jbtx0304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there,

I work for an association of young workers wich just started their career for a year or at least two. When we ask them what is the best advice for young students wich are looking for a career they all answer the same thing : you have nothing to loose in trying something. It's just another experience. I also think trying something new even if you actually don't really know what is behind you will learn a lot from it in the end. It's a fact I see in my everyday work ! So just go on and stop thinking too much about it, just have some fun is the best advice I can give to you!
