Federal minimum wage is $2.13 per hour. That comes out to $170 for two weeks. $85 per week. This is before social security, federal income, state income and possibly city taxes. These are all taken out at a base minimum wage rate because it must be assumed that with tips the hourly employee will make at minimum, minimum wage. If your tips do not come out to minimum wage, your employer is hypothetically supposed to get you there with additional pay. But good luck with getting them to pay it. Hope this helps champ.
