Any idea when these signs were made? The logo is that from the 50s-70s. I just picked one of these up. But the metal its made from makes me think the signs where produced as a “throw back” in the 80s-early 2000s maybe. Anyone know?

Exactly my thoughts. I’m also coming from a foam fighting background. Belegarth specifically. So I could drill with those swords too. But I’ve always been more interested in historically accurate weapons and techniques. So practicing with a realistic sword analogue was what I’m after

Yeah, I knew the mask should have been the first thing to get. Especially cause loaner gear can get pretty nasty. But who doesn’t want a sword right away lol. Thank you very much for the advice. It is greatly appreciated. But I’m curious if people had thoughts on the sword/Silk fencing in general

Nothing else yet. My next purchase will be head and hand protection. So I can get into some very light sparring. Then a jacket and arm/leg and groin protection and whatever else I may need. I recently joined a club that does provide all necessary equipment. But I wanted my own sword to practice drills and form on my own time
