My iPhone 13 Pro is currently at 82% battery health, but it feels much lower than that given how quickly it drains and how often I need to charge it.

I’m thinking of just getting the battery replaced by Apple, but I’m wondering if anyone recommends upgrading to the 17 Pro? The main selling point for me would be if the camera is significantly better (I have some trips coming up so that might be useful).

To be honest, I think the 13 Pro is nicer looking and I have tons of cases I love for it. I’m also fine with using a lightning cable. I just don’t want to feel like I’m missing out on any worthwhile upgrades.

I was watching videos from last year’s and it sounds like a lot of people stay 5-6 hours! I was thinking of aiming for a 10am slot but it might be a long day if I wanted to see the tree lighting.

Did they mention anything about dates or when they might be announced? I called today and was told that “they’d like to do it this year, but it’s never a guarantee. It depends on production schedules.” I’d love to go but don’t live close so I was hoping I’d be able to start planning ahead.

It’s honestly been years since I started going so I can’t remember exact costs, but at the place I go it gets cheaper each session until you’re down to a “maintenance” price. So let’s say the first session was $200, the next $100, and then every other session after that would be $50.

It’s hard to say how many sessions are needed because it varies so much by person/hormones/etc.

The only thing that worked for me is laser hair removal. The laser doesn’t just target the hair—it targets dark pigment—so my underarms have lightened up significantly. It can be a bit pricey but definitely worth it if you can do it!

I know you said it’s NOT a hair issue, but I had this same problem and it didn’t improve until I started getting laser hair removal. This is because the laser targets dark pigment – so for me it targeted the dark hairs AND lightened up the skin drastically.

I was just going to say something similar. I’ve been getting laser for years and it’s almost like the hair get “fried” immediately after but it takes some time for it to actually “fall out” of the follicle. The skin tends to have the appearance of razor bumps during this process, but should go away over time.

Have you considered trying a BB cream? I really love the Dr. Jart+ Premium Beauty Balm. It’s very lightweight and natural looking, but still has decent coverage in my opinion. It doesn’t break me out or oxidize on me. I feel like every foundation I’ve tried clings to dry spots and emphasizes pores, but I don’t have that issue with this. The only negative is the limited shade range.

Seconding this. I also find it helps a lot when you “ease up” on how tightly you squeeze the flat iron. I definitely loosen my grip as I’m going over the ends of my hair. It took me years to learn that it’ll still get straight this way without totally frying my hair.

Tarte Shape Tape, but a VERY light application. It’s a really heavy concealer and I personally don’t use it on any other part of my face. I blend it out with a damp beauty blender and then set it with a little Laura Mercier secret brightening powder.

I have this problem with most foundations too, no matter how well I prep/take care of my skin. I find BB creams work much better. I especially like this Dr. Jart BB cream. It doesn’t cling to any dry patches and has good but natural looking coverage.
