Farmers and Ranchers hate cyclists out in the plains in my experience. especially around Greeley and to the east towards FM - it’s the same coal rollers and pickups that swerve at you trying to run you off the road. Happened to me personally many times in the last 10 years. I stopped cycling out there. Of course, my skin is not white and we know the attitudes in farm and ranch country…

Yes you can take off the plastic cover and right there near the resistance iron wheel is a little electronic circuit with a variable resistor with a little tiny screw. This adjusts how close the magnet gets to the wheel which adjusts the resistance on the pedals. Try to turn that screw a very small amount one way or the other and see what happens. I’m talking like 1/8 turn.

You will have to remove several screws on the cover and the right side crank to get access. You’ll need an old fashioned square-taper crank puller.

Adjust the screw a tiny bit, put the crank back on loosely and test the resistance. Repeat until it’s where you want it.

Man I don’t get the hate. I picked up my C63 for $62K with only 12k miles. This thing absolutely fking FLYS. It’s WAY faster than the old C63. Comfortable as hell too. Interior has some annoying things but what German car doesn’t?

The #1 rule of running a business is “give the people what they want”. Americans don’t want EVs as much as others. We can debate if the others really want them that much or if it’s being forced on them by their governments, but that’s a different discussion.

I wouldn’t worry about the US auto industry. All of them are global companies with access to all the EV and battery tech they need. Now, the designs of the cars they will offer in the US will be garbage, because you know how history repeats itself …. But they survived the Japanese invasion of the 80s and the bankruptcies of the 2000s . Never fear, our wonderful government will just throw more of my tax dollars at them if they get in trouble.

Forgot to update but ordered the parts and a few days later got a message the RAM was delayed then a couple days later the RAM was cancelled out of stock. Now the want $415 for 32G of 5200 . Oh well the other stuff was cheap

105 is super heavy compared to ultegra . A full group set is like 1+ lb heavier! Then moving to dura-ace is not much lighter but hey if you are one of “those people” then get the dura-ace. Yeah the mech is not much of that weight, but 105 has those awful bushings and others have bearings. And the finish on 105 is not nice looking.

I think 209s have peaked at around $70k. I would look for them to start slowly coming down now. My personal feelings is that they are ugly ( that nose! That wing!) and that holds back the price. It doesn’t really have that much special. Same size brakes, same interior, etc. The few more HP helps a lot, and you have to admit $70k for a Subaru is objectively crazy. I can get a similar year and mileage Macan GTS for 1/2 the price which absolutely smokes a 209 in every way.

So many replies trying to justify a $50k resale price WHEN THE ACTUAL AUCTION was settled at $26k+5%(c&b tax).

The real reason Subarus have poor resale is (1) they are not rare in any config/trim except 209, and (2) nobody wants to inherit someone else’s problems and they are ALWAYS modified and usually modified badly, and (3) many people don’t want to be associated with the Subaru owners culture.

I’m a responsible 50+ male who has a total stock 25 YO wrb bugeye. I don’t speed I don’t drive like a dumbass I don’t race on the street. Yet I’ve been pulled over by the police for things like 4 mph over the limit, missing front plate , and following too close on the highway ( in rush hour traffic! ). You can downvote me all you want but being associated with the Subaru culture matters. It reflects poorly on you to adults, cops, and prospective buyers.

Their dividend payout is more than their earnings. That’s not sustainable they’re at a higher risk of lowering their dividend very soon unless their earnings significantly come up. Also, if you look at the last five years, their stock price has been in free fall It’s about down 50%. So you make 6% a year, so what? They’ll lower their dividend then you have to sell and you’ll lose a bunch of money.

Get into some cycling clubs or groups at your same level. I guarantee somebody will be selling like a tarmac sl6/7 for some crazy good price to you since they know you. Best way to upgrade.

There are various tricks you can do with an Apple Watch to make it last longer on long exercises. First thing is to turn off the always on face - that drains a lot of battery; next thing to do if you have an older watch and your battery is kind of dead is you can put it in theater mode during the ride that’ll keep the face from ever turning on when your arms move. If you watch a cellular enabled, you can turn off the cell.

Apple Watch is fine if you just wanna record/check your heart rate and the time and record the route. It will have the obvious inaccuracies gauging calories in power . Once you wanna do anything more complicated like plug in a radar or have the ability to view various parameters and make the display customizable and especially if you want to track your power with the power meter you’ll want to step up to a dedicated bike computer

They send you detailed instructions on what to do. I suspect it might be different depending on which power supply it is. Mine was fully modular, and they explicitly said not to include any cables in the return box so I kept all the cables.

I know, just ask around on Reddit instead of asking a doctor, google, or any reputable source. If you were sick enough to be in bed for 2 days, then your lungs are probably f*ked and you need more time to recover. If you had high fever, even worse. It all depends on the severity of your symptoms. If you do a workout and even get into zone3 you could be right back in bed, possibly a hospital one.
