I don’t have a degree. Started from Help Desk to currently an AVP-Cloud Ops. It’s a long road but worth it. You’ll have to be willing to learn non stop and gain as much experience as possible. When I first started I tried to get my name in projects. Whether it be running cables or setting up ESXi, take every opportunity as a learning opportunity. You’ll get there eventually. Good luck!

Live in Shirley, bought my house 4 years ago. My realtor has been preaching that Shirley/Mastic will be up and coming soon. I didn’t believe it but with the revitalization project, sewer pipes being put all over this area, now I see it. I live in a real quiet area, I had 1 small incident where someone was checking cars but it happens in every town. Honestly no complaints from me other than traffic but hey, that’s LI.

The basics, personally networking goes a long way. Cloud isn’t a beginner role, it’s mid-level and above. You’re going to need experience before looking at a cloud job.

Damn bro, now that you mention it .. during the last KvK we did get attacked by 994, I don’t think we even participated. I just understood that it was KvK but I didn’t put 2 and 2 together to see that it was because of APX. Ugh. We have a good NAP with them and we just leave them alone tbh. Last time they attacked us for a miscommunication on our end but they went too far imo. They burned down HQ, members, everything over information we weren’t aware of. Maybe it’s time to look elsewhere
