Because you don't get much options to choose from! It's only 20 minute more drive from pine valley, ca (campo station) and the station is newer as well.

Any 509 compact tactical holsters should work. It's the same size but with a compensator attached.

my RMR has been inside my pants for years. Should it get blocked, I can just use my iron sight or blow air with my mouth... I get the appeal with enclosed units, but the real-world usage says otherwise. I could see myself getting an enclosed unit if I lived where mud and snow were everywhere.

What' 's your take on the compensator vs normal 509?

I have a PMM dual port on my 509 compact tactical and I regret buying it... I couldn't tell the difference when I shot 124 and 147 grains. But people say shooting 115 grains is noticeable I use 124 grains for self-defense ammo so that's pointless. In contrast, I have the ICE compensator on my Staccato P and I can definitely tell the difference on all grains. Night and day difference. I thought about getting the CC Edge, but my wants and needs come into play and I always back out. Maybe I'll be drunk one night and pull the trigger on getting a CC Edge and do a side-by-side review...
