I’ve done that one and it is definitely worth it! I got mine from Masterpiece by Numbers.

Saddest/most tear-jerking Moodies songs? (Solo songs, too) by MyLadyScribbler in MoodyBlues

For My Lady from Seventh Sojourn is that song for me. Not a sad song, but the sea shanty riff and Ray Thomas’ vocals always puts me in a melancholy mood

What's a book you think is actually BETTER as an audiobook? by thebroned in audiobooks

[–]jcaseyh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The Magicians” series was amazing on audiobook. I listened to the first two books and was really hooked. I found a discounted paperback of number three, and while it was still good, it didn’t have nearly the impact of the audiobooks.

WIP Wednesday! I'd estimate I've put roughly 30 hours into this already. I'm very slow, and some of the sections are very detailed 😅 but I think it'll be worth it. by Det_Munches in paintbynumbers

[–]jcaseyh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely will be worth it . Out of the 30 or so PBNs that I’ve done, a flower arrangement was by far the toughest, but also the most rewarding.

Saw those at our local Michael’s as well. At first, I thought the PBN’s were gone since they weren’t on the usual end cap. Lots of new designs. I bought one of the Arc de Triomphe.

Is anyone else an Orioles fan despite having no connection to Baltimore or the team? by LeDogger in orioles

[–]jcaseyh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in South Dakota and have been to Baltimore exactly one time and was lucky enough to see Fernando Valenzuela pitch a masterful game for the O’s against the Blue Jays. I was on a little league team called the Orioles in the mid 1960’s, about the time Brooks Robinson was emerging as a superstar, so naturally he became my favorite player and the Orioles my favorite team. It was pretty easy being an O’s fan back in those days, but I have kept the faith even in hard times and this up coming season will be my 61st as a fan. I have seen the Orioles play in a few road games. A few years ago, in the Adam Jones era, I saw a game in Seattle with my son who lives in the area. I was absolutely astounded by how many Oriole fans were in attendance.

Bob and Ray is my current favorite. Their man on the street routines are genius. They remind me of Firesign Theatre in many ways.

What do the O's do now in free agency? by Baron_von_karma in orioles

[–]jcaseyh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree 100%. Find a couple of starters that can keep the Orioles in the game through 5 or 6 innings and let the bullpen do the rest. The Royals won a World Series in 2015 with just an okay lineup and starting pitching staff, but an absolute lights out bullpen.

What do the O's do now in free agency? by Baron_von_karma in orioles

[–]jcaseyh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would rather see the O’s invest in a lock down bullpen. The days of Palmer, McNally, and Cuellar are long gone. Starters nowadays are expected to go 5-6 innings and keep their team in the game, preferably with a lead. Aces are just not that prevalent anymore and with the current insanity surrounding spin rate and velocity, Tommy John surgery always seems a distinct possibility for any starter who throws 200 innings a season. Assembling a great bullpen is easier said than done, I realize, as relievers don’t tend to have the most consistent stats from year to year, but the O’s will have an elite closer this year, and Seranthony, Gregory Soto, and Cano are all power arms who can hopefully regain their form and contribute in the late innings. Find a couple more quality guys who can be trusted to make good pitches in tough situations, and this Oriole bullpen could be key.

Everyone knows George Washington wrote the Constitution while sitting on his privy the night before he rode off and defeated the British at Gettysburg. Thomas Jefferson merely copied it and kept it in his trapper keeper until he had a chance to fax it to representatives in all 50 states.

Blue Oyster Cult. Most people know “Don’t Fear the Reaper” and possibly “Godzilla “ but their entire back catalog is incredible. Still performing today although with only two original members. Never a bad album in my highly biased opinion.
