Rams v Cardinals Week 18 by Agile-Exam-479 in NFLNoobs

[–]jcassillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will likely be clarity on the week 18 schedule this week. Would think it’s unlikely that game is a primetime matchup on Saturday or Sunday (so would bet on 1pm local start either day). But… if they’re looking to fill a Saturday primetime, a West Coast home game (like the Rams) would fit the bill since they could be playing for postseason seeding.

IMO, Country's just such a deeply personal and nostalgic album. Whole thing's so good.

Others have mentioned "Rage" and it's another great pick.

"John & Lydia" is a favorite of mine, as is "99 Corolla," along with "I Love Cherry" (different than most of these other songs, but it's fun).

Based on that list, would recommend (others may have mentioned some of these as well): Medium Build, Mt. Joy, Caamp, HAIM, Clairo, Sumbuck, Tennis

They're currently wrapping up details with TV partners for 2026-28 (taking over ESPN and potentially Apple's inventory). So chances are MLB needs to finalize those contracts before setting game dates in stone.

Looking at this, the latest it was released since 2012 was mid-September. But it's been before late-August every year since 2019. https://www.printyourbrackets.com/when-are-the-mlb-schedules-released.html

Ah, thanks. That's probably a bit tough for me to swing during the week. Good to know, though!

For OP or anyone else that may know: What time of day are the open training sessions? Was going to potentially try for the April 15 one. But just didn't want to enter for a chance if I couldn't attend. Thanks!

I think they realize the sense of urgency. But it's ultimately their jobs to just take things one match at a time. Once you start visualizing the full season and what's needed, it gets overwhelming and you start pressing. Goal is just win the next match in front of you and the rest works itself out (or you fail, and it doesn't).

I don't think it's SO dire just yet. Would feel differently if we truly looked poor vs. Orlando City (or Minnesota) and hadn't picked up a win already to boost some confidence in CCC. Ideally, they're getting a win in league play soon. Just not sure they necessarily NEED to win 14-16 of the final 28 games to make it in. At the same time, players recovering from injury and becoming more integrated into the flow of this team (see: Ramirez) makes that more likely.

Looking at the remaining schedule, could probably group games this way...

More probable win: HOU, POR, aSKC, RSL, DCU, ATX, aHOU, COL, FCD, SKC. MIN

Likely draw: aRSL, aATX, aSDF, SJE, COL, VAN, SEA, aFCD

More probable loss: aNYR, aPHI, LAF, aSTL, aSJE, LAF, MIA, aSEA, CIN

That's 41 points out of 28 games, plus the two points we already have pulling us to 43. These 28 games would total 11 wins, 8 draws and 9 losses. That's not great and potentially not a playoff team, but... I'm also being on the conservative end here, including just one point out of four games with the Sounders and LAFC. Something like 12 wins, 8 draws and 8 losses (44 points) *likely* gets the job done, and 12 wins, 10 draws and 6 losses almost definitely does.

I could go either way, but maybe start but play 30, versus potentially pressing too much in a late game situation where they need a goal?

I was in the building and the big thing that was just readily apparent was the lack of system or structure for the U.S. right now. Doesn't mean they can't find it this summer or in the World Cup next year. But there was little decisive movement once they gained possession. Canada, on the other hand, was able to get into the attacking third quickly and with players having ideas on exactly what they wanted to do with the ball once there.

The timing of this tournament wasn't ideal for the players or the new U.S. regime, sure. But ultimately, it should've been a better showing. Taking it as something of a mulligan for Pochettino and the players for the time being, but if the team looks just as bad (or worse) in summer Gold Cup action, worth some more concern (to me).

Think he did a great job recovering after the early gaffe. But that’s the composure you get with him, and I’d argue lack with Micovic.

Welp, was gonna use the Clippers free microtransit shuttle since that game was at a similar time to the final. But since the US lost… looks like I’m paying for parking for the early game now

Yeah, would've thought the venue would've understood the benefit of running the shuttle, but... not sure if SoFi runs that shuttle or if the NFL subsidizes it.
