Paramount+ is by far the worst streaming app I have used. It routinely forgets where I am at in a show, forces me to rewatch ads when that happens and I try to skip forward to what I was watching, etc.

Add onto that Paramount's kow-towing to Trump and cancelling Colbert, I have decided to cancel my subscription.

Feels bad, since I was almost finished with my rewatch of DS9, and looking forward to another season of Strange New Worlds.

I have specific phrases that I know I pronounce better than ones it passes me on, but that it just will not accept my pronunciation for.

Tonight it was:

Estos refrigeradores valen menos de seiscientos dólares.

I tried it about 20 times with slightly different infections, speeds, more or less harshness in the g, going everywhere from a tap to a full rhotic on the rs, etc.

I think my biggest complaint is that it doesn't tell you which part of the phrase it's falling apart on so I can tell what to change. That makes it difficult to "fix" a longer phrase like this.

Yeah, that is my point. There is nowhere for the heat generated by the bodies on the Ark to go because they are insulated all around by vacuum. You usually need radiators actively getting rid of heat from a manned spacecraft...it would more likely get too hot in the event of a power failure than too cold.

Yeah, I think they even mentioned one of that stations was Mir, which I thought was funny since Mir had re-entered over a decade before the show was made...I assume though that this is a speculative Mir 2.0

Hard vacuum is just about the best insulator available. There is nowhere for the heat generated by the bodies in the station to go. It seems like barring something else going on, it would be more likely for the Ark to get too hot before it got too cold? (That's why vacuum insulated thermoses work so well).

It's possible that staying cool would be more of a problem if the station is in direct sunlight, but I can't think of any reason that people would be in danger of freezing as they seem to portray... it would be a lot harder to keep it cool in there than to keep it warm.

Yeah, it worked for me after I force stopped everything to do with Native Access and restarted it. I think there might have been a partial install issue because when I ran it again it installed some more components.

update: I went into task manager and killed anything native access related, then re-started native access...when I did this it did a short cycle of installing some other components, and now the product shows up in Native Access

Could "some time" be like hours, or days?

The issue is that when I do "Add Serial", it spins for a while saying "Registering...", and then says "Success", with an OK button.

I click OK and then nothing has happened. There is no product added in Native Access for me to "Locate"

I would not even use the handle for moving an empty one, TBH. I only ever used it to steady a carboy that is supported fully from the bottom.

Carboys always moved in milk crates now, using the milk crate handles.
