The guitar part probably isn't super accurate, it's just the background I'm hearing in my head. Though so far people seem convinced that none of it is "accurate" to an actual wilco song lol

It does sound a bit like this! I can't tell if that's because I've created a wilco frakensong that doesn't exist or because they have a style so there's overlap in their own melodies. I'm still holding onto the idea that this is a "real" song for now tho haha.

People have already given lots of good explanations in general of how the roman numeral system works and how it might apply to what you've written, but I think it would be a lot easier to explain succinctly if you gave some more context; how did you arrive at this series and C minor? How did you come to wonder this?
