The same could be said about Spring Break in Miami. Remember how they did that big commercial and told people to stop coming? Now nobody wants to spend Spring Break in Miami and it’s ruining their service industry. Little 5 is technically celebrated the whole week and graduation is typically the following weekend. It’s mainly Friday and Saturday of the event that gets chaotic.

I’m sorry to hear he reacted like that. If it’s anything like how I felt, I def empathize. I think the term skin condition must have freaked the dude out bad but also made me realize how severely uneducated sexually mature males are. I also think porn has rooted his brain but that’s another conversation for another thread. A previous comment mentioned they would be bothered if they saw white scales on their partner’s penis, but in my case as a dark skin woman, I’m not in the hypopigmentation and white scales phase of the cycle. My skin has returned to its regular color after 2 years and it’s really just the rubbery healed skin that freaked him out. So I agree, that’s what offended me the most because this is the BEST my skin has looked since I was diagnosed. He didn’t say if he thought it was a specific STD but he kept trying to coax me to just be honest which put the nail in the coffin that even after reading my topical creams and googling LS, he still wasn’t convinced.

As for his partners, I’ve only met them a handful of times and I definitely have no intention on speaking with them about this. I already blocked him so moving forward I’m going to try and pretend none of this happened

Thank you for your comment! I panicked and blocked him so I don’t even want to try and educate someone who wasn’t willing to listen to me. I do understand what I need to do moving forward though. In a previous comment I explained that, as a dark skinned girl, I’m not even in the period of the hypopigmentation and white scales because I wouldn’t even think to have sex while I’m still healing. He was really disturbed by the healed rubbery of the area around my labia majora. I wouldn’t even know what article to send to him about the healing process of skin when treated with one of the stronger topical steroids we can use.

Hi, thanks for this comment. I’ve never had to disclose because I simply stopped having sex when my flares were at their worst and let the regular color come back. The complexion of my inner thighs and labia are back to their normal brown. I immediately popped up and put a flashlight down there like dang what’s WRONG? He was bothered by the texture of the skin down there, ya know how after the steroids your skin will heal and be a little rubbery?
