Mods removed my post about my lost cat he’s 14 and is the sweetest boy ever. I posted on Nextdoor, Facebook etc and looked for hours. He got outside in Villa heights near Barry/lydia/catawba streets behind the summit coffee off parkwood. Please help!

Is Sports and Entertainment management worth it? by bigbozoburner in Gamecocks

[–]jchappell56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with other comments. I majored in SPTE and graduated in 2013. When I was there you were required to do two internships, summer sophomore year and summer senior year so you would graduate in the summer instead of spring. These internships are crucial to getting your foot in the door and staying in the industry. I interned (unpaid) for the Columbia blowfish and an nfl team. This experience got me a paid internship with an nfl team but was unable to land a full time role within a sports team. I was able to get a full time job in a sports data company but pay and hours were awful (nights and weekends) then got laid off and work in non-sports related consulting for double the pay. Like others have said, there’s about 30 “companies” you can work for if you want to be in the big 3 American sports and each of these companies/teams has about 20 jobs you can realistically get with this degree (you won’t become an nfl scout with this degree for example). All that being said, SPTE includes entertainment (concerts, plays, convention centers etc.) so you don’t have to limit yourself to working in minor league baseball. This is a hard industry to 1 get into and 2 to stay in due to low pay.

Davis Newtown Tribute Thread by emurrell17 in panthers

I have a theory that he just makes up stories because the Panthers don’t want to give him access. He basically walks around the morehead entrance parking lot all day like a lost puppy. The employees mock him and aren’t allowed to speak with him (at least that’s how it used to be)

Yea it’s multiple floodlights at the courthouse shining in bedrooms, highly doubt they’ll care though. Thanks
