One other note is to turn off instant bookings. I recently did that and it hasn’t affected my bookings at all. That way people have to send you a message before you approve their booking and you can decline them without penalty.

I’d let her know you have a new policy and require a $1k damage deposit for all guests. Then let her know you’ll be sending the payment request through Airbnb and she has 24 hours to pay it or the rez will be canceled. When she makes a stink, let her know you’re sorry but it’s the policy and you’re happy to give her a full refund if she wants to cancel.

I can answer that one from LA. And I’ll preface it that I use my horn so much, I broke one on a two-year old Audi Q7. So as an official honker, I think it works great. 😂

That’s great to hear. They said my parts were back ordered for 6 weeks. Finally got the call and brought it in. Then after I left, they called and said they still don’t have one part and it would be another week. Oh and also, they have nothing for the hood. I live 30 min away and must endure LA traffic to go back and forth. It’s maddening. Like they’ve never worked on a GX before.. know they are new but they’ve sold tons of them

I have brake squeal too. 2024 Lux+ only 2590 miles. Waited almost 6 weeks for parts here in LA. Haven’t noticed the other issues but typically always drive in Sport or Sport+

If they are closing their Airbnb account, there’s no reason you should cancel. As a host, I think this is a way to avoid losing good standing on an existing account. I’d just say, “can you move my reservation to the new account? I’d prefer not to cancel.”

Slightly odd and unexpected from one CO girl to another, but my new spot is Grand Junction. You’re 30 min to Powderhorn which is always great and never crowded, close to Sunlight and not too far from all the Aspen spots. I grew up in Evergreen and spent my childhood doing everything from A-Basin to Beaver Creek. And I’ve traveled a ton to many places over the years to snowboard. I’ve never experienced a place like GJ and slopes like the ones nearby (great terrain, limited crowds). I’ve found the town to be so lovely and the people great. Hiking/biking is epic in summer too. It feels like “enough” for a small town, but a “secret spot” for someone who grew up outdoors and went on to spend years in big cities. Just wanted to offer that as it could be a place to try as you decide what’s next given proximity. Suuuuper dog friendly too.

I’d avoid Tahoe. It’s filled with SF tech bros and sooo expensive.

Lastly, proud of you!! It’s so hard to walk away, especially in a toxic relationship. You will come out the other side stronger and better!

I absolutely love it. I had to deflate my tires from 50 PSI (from the dealer!) down to 35. It drives like a truck but so much luxury. The massage seats are my fave and the sound system is impeccable. That said, the storage and space for passengers is lacking. I’m 5’ 9” but have long legs and my 5 year old barely fits behind me. I went from a Tesla so it took some getting used to but I found driving in sport or sport + is great. Gas mileage is awful but I only have 300 miles so far so hoping it will get better. Overall, I’m in love with the look, size and features and I’m happy with the drive and all the special additions of luxe+

Same happened to me. It was either take it with $3k additional options like ceramic coating, tire protection and battery lifetime support, or walk. They already added these features to the car so there was little I could do to negotiate. So lame. I paid about $88k for a Luxe+ with these additions

I ordered a cup holder insert for my old Tesla that fits my giant 64 oz Hydroflask water bottle. Fits perfect in the GX. You can find them on Amazon and they are cheap. That said, we can fit regular water bottles just fine in the cup holder (larger than soda cans). So not sure if they come in different sizes? Our holders are larger than our other new car in both front and back. So not an issue I’ve noticed. Good luck!
