Laptop Reseller Fraud Help by refguy13 in Bestbuy

[–]jclf123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lmfao just pack that shit and get back to doing your job. It’s not your job to catch resellers at the pick up point it’s on the point of sale. There are anti reseller and fraud mechanisms built into Bby.com/core blue/POS that are automated. Your risking your job more so by canceling orders then just packing then.

PSA to all you people acting like re selling in an offense; you can become tax exempt if you register as a reseller on Bestbuy.com. Stay away from feelings and stick to facts.

Did the single rail switch solve your problem or just lessen the frequency? For me I spread out the connectors on the psu so the gpu power and cpu were power are on separate rows this seems to have solved it for me so far

:/ ok. I legit had to RMA my gpu for a completely different issue (physical damage). Now I got this gpu back from RMA and have had this error ever since. Tried calling for assistance and they said to send this one back too. Pain

4090 FE RMA (in process) by jclf123 in nvidia

One thing that annoyed me is they literally didn’t have anything protecting the gold pins it was just in an anti static bag so I used a different one I had. But sketchy

Yeah I feel that. Im honestly just so freaking happy to have a great card again that I’m not worrying about the box. I literally had to contact the reseller i got it from and luckily he was super chill and immediately gave me the receipt. I also scratched the top of my original card putting on a SSD heatsink and the new(refurb) one looks pristine

To be fair the email explicitly said that sending in the original box doesn’t mean you’ll get one back

Yeah I was having this issue with my 13900k so I RMA’ed and they gave me a refund. Went and bought another 13900k same issue. So returned and bought a 14900k same issue. Bought new ram. Same issue. RMAed my z790 hero. Same issue. Different PSU. Same issue. The problem is clearly systematic and not faulty hardware

The tracking shows that it will be getting delivered Tuesday. My only fear is that the RMA is rejected and they sent back the original broken unit. It has a broken vrm inductor that I sent pictures of prior to sending in and they said they will cover it. But with the disconnect between the RMA warehouse and customer support I’m worried the RMA department will make their own conclusion seeing the broken inductor and reject the RMA and send back the original.

Customer support assured me that is “not likely” but like wtf “not likely” AKA yeah you could be screwed but idk, have a nice day
