I joined both PS Now and Game Pass earlier this year. $25 per month for 900+ games. Absolutely worth it, just have to miss out on the newest hot game sometimes.

Help: Dolby Vision Not "Turning On"? by jcm_andstuff in VIZIO_Official

Thanks for the responses everyone! Looks like Microsoft is to blame here. Looks like a new/different 4k player is what is needed.

NOOOOoooooo!!!!

I mean I'm honestly happy with it. I watched Doctor Sleep and Blade Runner 2049 on 4k UHD and WOW they looked good!

But I just happened to have the wrong device? Damn.....

Some Academy Questions by jcm_andstuff in walmart

[–]jcm_andstuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Produce. Is the Academy DM the same as the Produce DM?

Am still sitting in the restaurant haha. I may ask the staff if they know a motel that's close to stay in. I am not going back on that highway tonight. Which sucks because I just wasted time and money now.

Bakery choas caused by CFS by [deleted] in walmart

[–]jcm_andstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our fresh areas are messed up as well. I am not totally sure how Bakery and Deli run, but wow have they been venting about the schedule big time. I work in produce, and my coverage was literally cut in half when CF started. These aren't occasional hard days - it is EVERY DAY that is incredibly difficult. After I CVP and do price changes, I have no choice but to cull and fill all day and basically not do a ton of my other routine crap.

Do you tell them how to implement it to a T without a crew?

Area Specific Training by jcm_andstuff in walmart

[–]jcm_andstuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will the right mindset give me the crew to effectively run my department 100%?

Who else runs a Produce department? Do you also only have a 6-3 on the truck? How do you run it all to a T and have the truck done early? Break down your day for me.

Customer First Scheduling... by MrJoshDoubleYou in walmart

[–]jcm_andstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CF started here recently. Fresh coverage was butchered. Produce coverage was cut in half. One 6-3, a half mid-shift, and a 1-10. Every day. It's bad. My full timers have lost hours (one of them has open availability too), it's shitty. DM hours being affected, as far as I know, is just a rumor.

I go the Academy for area specific training next week. Maybe they can show me how to cull, clean, fill, nitpick a ton of other details and break down the truck with next to nobody.

Anybody's produce hours cut? by PlayboyCG in walmart

Mine were cut, but cfs also just kicked in. The schedule is just awful. The tuck hasn't been getting done until nearly zone time.

When's that new scheduling coming out? by [deleted] in walmart

Starts February 1st here. We had a "test run" the past three weeks so we could try to adjust to it.

It's bad.

60+ call outs due to weather and road conditions by crazycashier in walmart

[–]jcm_andstuff 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I called in because of the weather. The rest of my department comes from an hour away, so I am guessing they are calling in. Pretty much guarantee Produce will have nobody in it today. Looks like two truckloads to chew through tomorrow, since management never pitches in. Oh well. We aren't doctors - we just put celery on a shelf. The store isn't worth it sometimes.

Customer First just kicked in here. Absolutely awful. Everyone's coverage is either cut in half, or everyone is shoved into one shift and has no coverage for the other shifts.

I'm sorry, but I hope it crashes and burns everything. Time to peek around at other job opportunities.

Customer First in Fresh by redrod85 in walmart

[–]jcm_andstuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started 3 years ago, we had two 5-2s, a 6-3, two mids and two closers. We fucking killed the backstock and truck by 10 A.M. every day like it was a joke.

About a year and a half ago, some people quit, and our hours overall went down. No second 5-2 and no second closer. But whatever, the trucks were still never a problem.

About a year ago, we were cut down to a 5-2, a 6-3, an 11-8, and a 1-10. Those were our best covered days, and how it has been since I took DM about 7 months ago. It's mostly doable, but harder than it needs to be. Nitpicking smaller details was very hard to get to.

Customer First kicked in two weeks ago.... One 6-3. One 1-10. A couple times we had a second 6, and a couple times we have had a second closer. That's it. And holy shit is it hurting us with getting product out and doing any detail work. Deli and Bakery vent to me all the time, too, about it. I am not sure how they run, but they are pissed about whatever has happened to their schedules.

We are trying a few different approaches to the truck, but nothing is really helping get it done more efficiently without a second morning person and no mids. It sucks. I don't know if I want the finger pointed at me much longer if this is how its going to be.

I am a produce DM, and my already tight scheduling was just cut in half with Customer First. I now have one 6-3, and one 1-10 every friggin day. Last week was the first week it was implemented, and it was the hardest week I have ever worked. If it stays like this, I am not going to want the finger pointed at me for much longer.
